Open area near SunWest Park south of Aripeka, which seems to be an old Mine. Quiet, some cars passed by in the evening, but very quiet during night. Many birds are singing in the morning. The park was closed for renovation at our visit. Maybe overnight parking is not possible after opening.

Nice open grassy area at junction of Race Track Rd and Old Dixie Hwy. Some shade along the edge, very quiet. Stayed one night but about 9:00am were told by County officers that it is private land and we couldn’t stay. They directed us to the nearby Aripeka Sandhills Preserve.
Report Check-InStayed here a night, some trucks & jeeps drive by for some reason but still no problems with patrol. There’s lots of spots around to park / I stayed by the water park under the street lights, parked on the side of the road. Interesting animal sounds, all went well.
