Description

Spot at the rim of the pan next to a big Baobab tree. Some 70 km North and for us 4 hours of driving north of Kubu Island. A nice opportunity to break the journey.

Latest Check-Ins

there is no more Baobab there and the place was litteraly full of cattle poo. we drove further east in the bush in the direction of the rim of the pan and found another huge Baobab at this location: -20.365537, 25.894578. very nice and quiet, but not for people afraid of big free roaming herd of cows that considered you've set camp in their plates!

Perfect wildcamp. The baobab was falling but we could find shadow and wind protection with some bush trees. Nobody, quiet, alone and free ! We loved it: 5/5.

It was just amazing here. So quiet and a great sky full of stars. Also a lot of fire wood.

as described by others. nice open plains and the baobab provides shade. a couple trucks drive by in the evening but didn't come into the camp

Nice spot behind the baobab as described by others. Quiet and not visible from the main track. At night we heard some people and saw a pickup with spotting lights on the back tho. Seemed kind of weird but it was probably just our bad luck

Very nice and absolutely calm place aprox. 50 m away from the main track behind a huge Baobab. Only a few bushes around, so you have good view over the dry gras. We loved this place!

Report Check-In

Place right at baobab were flooded so we've have stayed up the tracks near trees. You will find now a stone platform and braai we took time to install to get dry during raining
