This is honestly a little gem. They wanted 280 for camping. Both me and the manager found that a bit silly so he offered me a chalet for 350 in stead. Unlimited internet, satellite TV, AC and fridge. Meal in the restaurant would have fed 2 people. A solid choice, just bring mosquito spray.

Report Check-In

Great place for a one night stop. Rooms available or small campsite in a glade of trees with watered grass. For camping: Very clean ablutions with hot water and a washing / cooking area.

Report Check-In

Handy stopover soot on the way to South Luangwa. Its on a busy road and we had quite loud music at the complex but okay for stopover.

Report Check-In

We stayed in a thatched chalet, 580k per night with continental breakfast ( 2 people March 2023) . Decent chalet, some limited Wi-Fi and BBC world on TV! but no atmosphere in the restaurant and limited choices. As everywhere, maintenance is what it is .

Report Check-In

We stay one night here before arrived Lusaka. Campsite is small but very nice. ❤️👍

Report Check-In

good place to stop
ablutions : clean and with hot water.
always 180K/pppn

Report Check-In

ok place to stay but only because of no alternatives.
Staff is very friendly though.

Report Check-In

Good stop over place between Lusaka and South Luangwa. Next to main road, conveniently located but off course also a bit noisy. Amazing water pressure in the shower!

Report Check-In

Rate is now 180 Kwacha p.P.
We got a WiFi voucher for free, probably because there was no electricity when we arrived.

Report Check-In

The CUTEST little thatched room with lovely bathroom. The chef was lovely and very accommodating. Well priced and a perfect overnight stop.

Report Check-In

Good place for one night. Indeed expensive, like most other campsites in Zambia. Staff really nice. We could use power point from storage room next to kitchen.

Report Check-In

Price is 130 ZKW pppn. The receptionist had no change and wanted to bring the change to the campsite. Never came.... I went back to get my money back. They give you a free wifi voucher for 250 MB works in the lobby.
Showers ok. No electricity most of times. One overlander truck came and took over the kitchen.... ok for a night

Report Check-In

Basic but very neat facilities for camping. No electricity but was able to make use of main kitchen’s deep freeze for our meat...albeit with a bit of a power struggle with the lady in charge 😜

Report Check-In

nice grassed area, hot water, pleasant staff

Report Check-In

We camped here one night from South Luangwa to Lusaka. Can’t say anything bad about the place, nice and clean facilities, small kitchen with roof (good in rainy season), friendly staff, safe place, little bit noisy from the road. Recommend to visit the interesting market in Petauke.

Report Check-In

Grassy patch behind the lodge with warm showers and a ‘kitchen’ building without any stove etc but free wifi which is slow if working at all. Kw110 pppn and they wanted to charge 2 kids of 7 and 10 full price but after asking for the manager who phoned the owner it luckily became half price for the kids.

Report Check-In

Our second stay here, best place Lusaka - Chipata or back. 110pp. Can’t understand comments regarding pricing of restaurant. T-Bone is 100 Kwacha, most other main meals 72 Kwacha. But restaurant is not really good, we better had cooked yesterday.

Report Check-In

Camping is 100 kwacha, but they try to ask you for additional taxes. This is a scam. Good restaurant but same scam.

Report Check-In

Better than expected! We even had company of an overland truck right next to us but it was not that disturbing. The ablutions are good (hot shower, doors not properly closing though) and there is a little kitchen area / shelter. Good stop over place. Still 100kw pp.

Report Check-In

It is a good stopover on the way from Lusaka to South Luanga NP. Stylish chalets from outside (we didn’t enter but they seemed to be nice), restaurant (meals for 60 KW), grassy campground, ablutions ok with hot water. No electricity at sites, kitchen with fridge and sink but nothing else (no plates, cutlery equipment at all and no stove). Price: 100 KW pppn.

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night from South Luangwa to Lusaka. Can’t say anything bad about it, nice and clean facilities, all for our own 😉, friendly staff, safe place, a Little noice from the Road, but we had no problems to sleep. We paid 100 Kwacha pppn, so for 15 EUR it was ok ☺️

Report Check-In

Nice place on tar for truckcamper, grass for sitting and for tents. Kitchen with hot water for dishwashing. Ablution clean with good hot showers, electricity for the car and water supply. Noisy from the street but good for a stopover, stuff friendly.

Report Check-In

If you come the Old Petauke from South Luangwa it is an alright Stopover on your way to Lusaka. With 130 Kwacha it is too expensive but there are no better options in this area. The grassy Campsite has a lot of trees which is nice but will not fit for big trucks. The ablution block is good and clean. Even though it is close to the street it was fairly quiet.

Report Check-In

As described, nothing more than an ok place to spend 1 night. Great showers, but hugely overpriced! Exchange rate is insane; $10=130 zkw! It was difficult to talk about it and we had to haggle hard to get a price of ZK 120 pp.

Report Check-In

very overpriced. facilities are clean but it caters for overlanders.

Report Check-In

Not bad for an overnight stay. Ablutions clean. Camping on concrete. Noisy due to close proximity to the town and road. But doable for one night. $10 per person.

Report Check-In

Camping now on concrete area which is not great, near to road so a bit noisy, ablutions been refurbished but still a bit tatty, water slightly warmer than cold, building a kitchen area at moment, OK for an overnight stop over, 130kw pppn

Report Check-In

we took a triple room for 400kwacha

Report Check-In

Well maintained lawn next to lodge. WiFi supposed to be available but down during our visit.
