Love this place. Second time I am staying here. Right on the Lake. They have very nice comfortable rooms and even bigger dormitories. You can swim and kayak and definitely rest here. Food are great. 40000 for a room…. Not
Per person. Breakfast included. Dinner is 7500 and too much to eat and absolutely delicious. Very safe and enough space for overlanding vehicles. You can even camp here if you want, but
The rooms are just so nice with lovely hot water and electricity to charge everything. Long walks alongside the beach is a must. Trevor, the manager is amazing and all staff go out of their way to make everything so pleasant. And it is clean, clean, clean. They even allowed me to unpack my fridge into theirs so I could clean mine. And a lady washes your clothes for a small donation. Loved it here. So worth it.

We arrived midday but decided to move on. The staff were very friendly but this place was not what we expected. No grass, no shade (it was 38 degrees) and only thick sand. The camping behind the building (sand parking lot) has no electricity, full sun, and ablutions were a bit dirty and smelled of urine. We didn't go see the rest of the place, restaurant etc so can't comment on that. The previous reviews sounds fantastic, maybe we just got there at a bad time. The beach is nothing special. Flat, straight and wind swept. Maybe we were spoiled with previous bays we stayed at on the lake.

A beautiful lodge on a great beach. Swimming possible. Camping directly at the beach; otherwise cottages at various price ranges. Restaurant and bar. Friendly staff. The managing couple did everything to insure I had a great time. They invited me to join them for a local cultural event.
The place is clearly better than the two other lodges at this part of the lake.

What a great place! Camping right on the beach with light, electricity and water tap. The friendliest staff I have stayed with in a long time. They care about their guests, and go above and beyond to make a nice stay. Good food in the restaurant as well. Highly recommended.

Really nice place!!!
We went here because the comments for the Nkhothakota Pottery Lodge further south were not satisfying for us! Here you can camp directly at the white and clean beach (4×4) or on a grassy area in the back. 6$ ppn on the grassy area on the beach little bit more. They charged us just 6$ ppn for beach camping with our roof top tent, because it was not busy. We found one nice flat spot. At the beach you have a hut with table,bench, a tap and electricity in the evening. Toilet with flush and shower for campers are simple but clean. No wind when we were there.
You can order food or cook by yourself.
Very nice and relaxed stay! Feels like staying at the ocean :-)
Owners are from South Africa and very friendly and careing.
They have issues with booking.com which always says they are fully booked.
Trip advisor works better. We just drove in without any booking!

Negotiated to 4,500 for beach camping and we had no problem driving onto the sand.
Nice location, very quiet.

The real nice camping pitches are at the beach. Away from the very basic ablutions. But almost no shade and not level. Too windy when we were there we installed our car with roof tent at the camping area behind the cottages. Not a nice view and no power points. If you have a long (50m) extension cord you can connect to a plug in the garage building. We had power only when the solar system was operational. When dark we were asked 3 $ an hour. We paid 5$ pp no room for negotiation. Not very friendly host neither. 6 km away from the main road over a narrow dirt road. Not a place where we would go back.

We were looking for a nice spot near Nkhotakota and checked severeal places until we found this place! Beautiful spot for camping under shady trees, hut with table, braai and sink. Hot showers. Price: 10$pppn negotiable. Nice bar area and restaurant.

Fairly good campsite. Could choose between staying on the beach under a tree next to an open hut and a standpipe and braai (6500 mkw) or on flat enclosure next to ablutions but without any charm (3500 mkw). I chose the first. Driving through sand but very easy. Ablutions are outdated and not very clean but okay. Lots of wind during the day, but stops around 8 pm. Haven't tried the bar or restaurant.

Great place, very open setting right at the beach. Friendly staff, nice bar and restaurant. We were the only people camping and got the price down to $6 pp at the beach 😉

Nice site, clean and friendly. $10 per person per night to camp on beach. Electricity hook up (SA plug), water and a small hut to sit under.

Campsite on the beach, with shady patio, no problems with beachboys or whatsoever. Good food, ablution, you can also camp on the flat parkingplace close to the ablution. We had some hard winds on the beach. They charge 10 usd pp on the beach and 5 usd pp on the parking, but....

15km south of the town, this amazing little lodge with pristine white chalets and camping area can be found on the lake sound. Take the small dirt track for about 3kms and you’ll find a little paradise. Basic ablutions, but great camping spots and restaurant and bar. 3,000MK a night.
