Paid $10 per night to camp in their parking lot. Basic but functional if you are waiting for a trekking permit. Electricity from a room. Toilets and showers are functional but nothing great. Small shop on site that provided basics at a reasonable price. Coffee shop across the road has decent food and coffee. Central to town a short walk to the market and ATM. Uganda Wildlife just up the street can help you with trekking permits (but cannot take payment) and guides to local Batwa community.

First they asked for $10 p.P. but we negotiated to $10 for the three of us. its for sure not worth $10 p.P.

Asked 15USD pp... We loughed thinking it was a joke (not at all !) and managed to pay only 20k UGX pp (5$). The manager, very friendly, told us they raised up prices for camping this year. For 15 USD pp, thats a big rip off. For 20k UGX, it's OK...
The place to camp is a tiny corner of grass, big enough for 2 4x4, right above the hotel balconies. Construction noises around. 2 pretty good toilets to share and 1 shower (if you are the first to go, you will have hot water. If not, forget about it).

Drinks and food available, quite expensive though. 7k for a 50cl Nile beer. Didn't try the food.

Friendly staff but not a place to hang out. One night stop kind of thing. Very busy and noisy, late and early in the day. Lot of tourists around for the gorillas...

The price is now 15$ per person to camp on the parking lot...
The guy at the reception was very nice. We explained to him that it's to much for what it is. After some negociation he agreed for the 20 000 per person. But he said that it was an exception...
To sleep in the car park next to some works (They are doing an other building.) the 15 $ dollars doesn't worst it. The ablution are okay but only one of us had hot shower. Busy during the night.

20000 shillings for camping on a well kept lawn per person and night. Okey facilities. The personnel felt very welcoming and did a really good job at making me and my belongings safe when leaving it behind on the lawn to do business in town. For the price and location it felt like a decent deal

15,000ugx for camping in gravel lot. Access to use kitchen area for cooking (must have own supplies but nice tables and sink available inside out of wind/cold) and nearby showers. We arrived after dark and left before light so can't say much else for scenery.
Also, not sure if this is helpful for anyone else but we drove past the 1900 COVID curfew time and all police interactions during the drive (3) were among the friendliest of the whole trip and waved us through with no issues.
