We stayed here but things are not in good shape. Boys from the village try to let you in take the money and run away. So if you stay here ask for Jonathan and only pay to him. Very noisy place. Will be same for all sites around here. We could hardly sleep. We regret to go here.

Nice place with charming garden and deck right at the water. Yes you park at the parking lot but we were not so bothered by it this time as the view over the lake is great from there. Paid 15$ for two people and one car. Hot shower.

OK you stand in the parking lot and the village is above you. But after 10pm it was really quite and we had a lovely night.
shower was hot and ablutions are OK.
food and trink are over prices as everywhere in this area I think.
lovely garden and view over the lake. Also a nice place to sit at the parking lot with stunning view.
stuff was very friendly

After the lovely reviews we decided to stay however we were very disappointed. We had a rooftop tent and were with friends in a van. We camped in a very muddy parking lot. No water in the toilets and shower. The staff did what they could and reduced the rate to $5 pppn. If you stay in a ground tent or in one of their tents you might have had a different experience as those campsite s where on the lawn right next to the water. Village was also right above our heads.

They asked for 8 USD, but if you ask for 5 USD, its still 5$ pppn. Beautiful garden directly at the lake in which you camp in. Pretty much all as discriped, staff was friendly, very cold but clean shower. We parked our car there after our stay and took a boat for 80.000 (2 person) for a little drive to some islands and to the "Byoona Amagara Island Retreat" for stay there. The safe parking was 10.000 pn.

Nice Lodge directly at the Lake. We had to camp in the Car Park (4x4 Car). But the Garden is very beautiful, lots of Birds and we were almost alone (in sharp contrast to the crowded Bunyoni Overland Camp). Perfect Relaxing in the Shadows directly at the Lake, very quite at Night. Ablutions a bit run down but okay. They brought us hot Water for Showering every morning. We plugged in at the Reception so we had free Electricity during Evening and Night. No Wifi. We also used the Reception as a Rain Shelter and even cooked there :) They did Laundry for us, two big Bags for 10 USD (very clean!). We also rented a dugout Canoe for half a Day for 5 USD pp. It's not easy to paddle and navigate that Canoe if you've never done it before! Very friendly Staff! Wanted 8 USD pppn but we negotiated 5 USD (18.000 UGX) pppn.

Cheapest option in the area.
Edirasa asked USD4,- pppn but the crew there was either drinking, drunk or sleeping so not a nice atmosphere.
Bunyoni was gorgeous but USD10,- pppn and no guaranteed hot showers.
Bunyoni Safari Resort topped it with USD42,- pn.

Make sure you ask for hot water in the showers, and then ask again and again to different personnel, as they have to make a fire to heat the water.
The receptionist promised us they had hot water, after showing us the shower we turned the water on and it was cold, he replied 'but these are the bush showers! let me show you the hot showers!', so we went to the hot showers and he promised us they were hot and so we turned on the water and it was cold and he replied 'but we have to make a fire first as you can see back here!'. And we could see, so we asked him to make a fire. After an hour there was still no fire so we asked again and then again to another staffmember who made a fire but then it started raining for two hours so still no hot shower.

Car has to be parked at the parkinglot and tent can be pitched close to the lake.

I really liked that place, stayed there for a week and got to know the staff a bit better. Nice people! 15 000 USH. Fire every night and hot shower on demand.
