For us, this was one of the best and nicest campsites in Kenya. Fantastic restaurant, super cosy with a large fire in the middle of a cove looking area with many lounge chairs. Food is really, really good. We stayed 3 nights and ate at the restaurant every evening, so we tried a lot of the food. All very nice. Nice pool, very cold, though. Beautiful garden to walk around. Best hot shower we had in a long time. Best of all; amazing shelter at the campsite, which was very convenient with some rain and to sort through our stuff.

Report Check-In

A camp site with all facilities. I think people traveling in groups love it, but we (travel as a couple with a 4x4 and rooftop) didn’t like it. Too dark because of the trees, a loud bar (with no people in), could not park on grass but on your own parking lot next to your roofed (dark) kitchen. The was a stripe of grass you can sit on. We were the only ones there and then it feels a bit empty. Although the lady of the reception is friendly. We didn’t like it and went to a camp site closeby. Which is much more open and has more light.

Report Check-In

Clean facilities, food availabile, good bar. Rooftop tent friendly and nice kitchen facilities

Report Check-In

Planned to spend 1 night here but was so nice that we ended up changing to 2 nights. Staff are really lovely and kind. Covered kitchen unit per site which includes bbq area, sink and seating area. Extensive washing lines so we could catch up on laundry too. Ablutions great with very hot shower (donkey boiler).

Restaurant and large swimming pool onsite. We tried a couple of the curries and the burger which were all excellent. Highly recommend you try the curry here as it is really good!

On the weekend, lots of day visitors to use the pool and restaurant, but never felt overcrowded as such a large space.

Report Check-In

We fully agree with all the positive remarks below. Everybody including secutity staff, Grace the very graceful receptionist, the restaurant staff, and Raj the owmer all contributed to make this an unforgettable stay.

Report Check-In

A perfectly set up campsite with 4 stands. everything you need- are, sink, washing line, lapa, braai area. 1000 KS pppn. Ablutions are excellent with a donkey boiler and everything is clean. Really hot showers. The restaurant is designed as a cave with a huge fireplace. The curry here is honestly excellent and well worth trying. Raj, the owner, is an amazing man and he helped us with refilling our SA gas bottle, which is different. Highly recommend

Report Check-In

Nice camp. You get your own banda with kitchen and water. Ablution is clean with hot shower. There is a pool and lots of possibilities to relax. Big bar and restaurant with nice food. Friendly staf. 1000ksh pppn

Report Check-In

Nice camp ground covering all amenities for 1000 KES pppn, considering what's been offered fair price. Very friendly staff. The owner Raj who is also owning the Ken- Knit company in Eldoret hooked us up with Mebu, the factory mechanic to fix our broken OME shock absorber. Mebu welded the shock and reinstalled it within 1.5 hours, he is definetely a skilled mechanic with lots of experience. He could also have arranged a replacement shock and installed it if we would have wished so. Highly recommended if you have troubles with your car.

Report Check-In

They now charge 1000KES ppp. Quiet place now that overland trucks aren’t running. The camp spots are very good if it’s raining, lots of cover. The toilets/showers are cramped, but clean, donkey boiler for warm water. Restaurant is relatively cheap but not very exciting. They don’t allow you to drink your own beers, even at the campsite. Friendly staff but I wouldn’t stay longer than 1 night. In our case it was the only decent option coming from the Uganda border

Report Check-In

Amazing place. You can book one of the rooms, even a dorm. We went camping, for 850 kes pp. Hot showers en clean toilets. Nice restaurant en you can even use the swimmingpool.

The staff is super friendly.

Report Check-In

Nice overlander spaces with shelters/kitchen. Big grassy areas, a beautiful river, swimming pool, restaurant, very friendly staff.

Price is still KES800 pppn. Amazing value for money. Perfect hot showers, clean ablutions and friendly staff. It's a shame the last guest before us were from 6 weeks ago. They deserve more guests!

Report Check-In

amazing place, nice spot to camp and staff very friendly. The pool and bar are perfect. Afther a day of camping we found out we had some serious problem on our car. The owner (Raj) connected us with his mechanic and the job was done within a day at a cheap price. Honest people!

Report Check-In

The price is now 800 KSh, but it is worth. Really nice camping, peaceful and quiet. We camp here the second time. The hot shower is hot and the ablutions are clean. The staff is very helpful. The food in the restaurant is delicious.

$7 pppn.
We really liked this resort/campsite.
Decent hot powerful showers. Flat ground to park the camper.
Each upper camper spot has a sheltered kitchen with BBQ, large sink, running water and seating.
Also has large, flat grassy areas for tents.
Has a pool albeit it’s pretty murky. Beautiful spot on a hill.
Also has a funky cave bar where you can have a few beers and food.

Owner is also super friendly and will give you lots of tips on where to go and stay.

Report Check-In

Not what I was expecting. This is a BIG resort; nothing personal about it.

Camping (700Sh) area is shaded to the point of being dark. This is one of the best things, and the worst about the camp; everywhere is shaded, so unless it’s full summer, bring a sweater. They have an interesting offer; upgrade from camping to a room and you pay 700 + 3000Sh as compared to 7000Sh for a room straight!

A dorm with 20 beds costs 1000Sh; I opted for this as I was the only one to be using it - The beds are close together and two tiered. Shower was powerful and hot. The bar is a pretty cool cave-like place, with as noted earlier a big open fire which does little to heat the place, but looks good; was given a little personal brazier as I was sitting quite a way from the fire - a very nice touch.

It’s well organised and run; I stayed a second night.

Visa cards are accepted.

Nice place, everything as stated below. We enjoyed the restaurant a lot: nice vibe and good food.

I am traveling East Africa with my motorbike.
Camping ground was fine and good shaded.
Wonderful place. Restaurant prices were fair and great swimming pool.

Report Check-In

Excellent place to stay for a couple of days! Camping is 700 Ksh per person and well worth it. The food and beer is slightly on the expensive side at 250 Ksh for a beer and 900 Ksh for a full continental breakfast.

The pool is great! During the weekend, a lot of local day guests come and use it, but on weekdays you probably have it all to yourself.

There’s a “kitchen” area for every parking/camping spot. It has lights, a grill and running water.

Showers are amazingly good!

Report Check-In

Best overland campsite we have visited yet. Amazing, huge, lit private kitchen area, wonderful facilities, staff are exceptional. We think the price is totally worth it.
Contrary to original post we thought the food was very very good - try garlic chips, paratha, chilli mushrooms! Very much enjoyed our stay.

Report Check-In

Nice place with lots of facilities and the best staff!

Report Check-In

Great stopover! We had a nice warm welcome. The campsite has a shelter and water. You need the pay extra if you would like electricity. The ablutions are okay with warm water. There were no overland trucks so it was very quiet:)

Report Check-In

We arrived very late, hooted at the gate and were welcomed with the biggest smile from Patrick. Campsite was clean and well organized. Wonderful clean ablution blocks with hot showers. Nice restaurant but we didn’t eat there. Great overnight spot before heading for Uganda. Paid 1400ksh for 2 people.

Report Check-In

4 places with watertap and shady sitting area especially for overlanders. Hot showers and clean ablutions. Nice pool. Originally restaurant and bar with open fireplace. Very friendly staff.

Report Check-In

Very good place for a Stopover. We were lucky because there were no Overlandtrucks so is was peaceful and quiet. The staff was exceptional friendly. It was cold and raining cats and dogs. So they lit a fireplace in the restaurant where we had great Chicken Methi which the Indian owner recommended. The ablutions are ok with a donkey shower.

Report Check-In

The information below is still correct. The staff are delightful and made us feel very welcome! Hot showers, and very well organised and maintained place! The campspot offers parking for overlanders, a banda, bbq and washing trough - nice and spacious in a rustic setting but very clean and sought after! There's a small shop in walking distance that has quite a bit to offer if you need to stock up on a few smaller things if self catering, otherwise a quick drive to Eldoret…

Report Check-In

Good as an overnight stop, with large garden overlooking small river. Swimming pool, large bar/restaurant, plenty of areas to relax. Each overland site has a braai, tap/basin and sheltered sitting area. Hot showers. Bill Gates once stayed here and there is a lodge room dedicated to his visit. 700 shilling pp.

Report Check-In

Quite a nice place but if you are in anything bigger than a Suzuki Vitara then you have to park in the top car park with the overland tour buses! The bar is great and I'm sure would be quite lively if the right people were there. Nice pool area but goes get very busy with locals. It's not a quiet place. Showers were nice and hot, a quirky place with lots of seating areas cut into the hill side

Report Check-In

Great place very neat. Staff very helpful. They let me put my motorcycle with me in the dorm! Good restorant. They said that pets are welcom. The only problem is no free elecrisety to charge it can be done only in the reception. No internet at all!
