Latest Check-Ins

The campsite itself is quite basic but functional. Cold bucketshower and long drop toilet. Little shelter with some extra water and firewood. If you put your car/camper a bit higher up, you will have a nice view of Mount Kenya. Though what made us stay is the hospitality and friendliness of Petra and the staff working at the lodge. It is a very relaxed and tranquil place and it is inviting to hang out on their terrace and stay for a sundowner of dinner with the other guests. Petra can inform and help you with visits to parks in the surroundings. We stayed 4 nights in total. 500 pppn.

basic campspot, nice for one night, but not inviting for a longer stay; long drop toilet and bucket shower; water from a small tank at the campsite and we got enough firewood; little shelter, a bit run down, but nice to set up your hammok; 500ksh ppn

The place is pretty decent on a big farm. The campsite is within the facility with a clean pit latrine and overhead shower. Petra is such a great host, we got lost on our way that but she came in handy to give us proper directions. Google map gives a very long route. If you’re coming from Mweiga town, the place is not far off, it’s the first rough road on your right. You’ll see two Tyres and a signage to Sandai farm. It’s next to Sangare gardens. You can cook for yourself or order food from their restaurant. They also have cottages that you can use, some are self catering for both small and bigger groups. Here is their contact +254721656699

This is a lovely place. You are feeling allone on the campsite, but you could meet other people in the farmhouse not far away if you like. We received each day firewood and you can walk around on the farm. During our stay a lion was on the neightbour farm and we hear their roaming each night. Petra is a lovely host and on the end we stay few days more as planed.
