A highlight of our trip to Sudan, there is a great spot to bushcamp here
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The Camp Spot is just on the left side before entering the parking lot of the Pyramids.
Sandy surface, so a 4x4 is helpful.
Climb the rock for sunset and sunrise. It’s fantastic up there.
We didn't bushcamp but passed by on our way to Port Sudan.
Definitely worth seeing when in Sudan, the price is negotiable when not paying in USD but in SP.
We paid SP300,- total for two people visiting the pyramids.
Most likely you'll have the place by yourself.
Report Check-InGorgeous location for camping. We arrived at dusk and no one came til the morning so we let ourselves in. At 7am a lady came and told us we could not camp inside the fence so we decamped outside. To see the pyramids cost 20 dollars per person. You get an official electronic ticket.
Report Check-InAround the corner of Main entränne to pyramides, quiet. Some locals came by for a few minutes to try to sell some souvenirs, but left fast.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. Too bad that we were hassled by camel ride sellers and kids with souvenirs that stayed with us until sunset and returned before sunrise. So quiet sleep but during the day not such a great spot if you're looking for a secluded place.
Report Check-Inpopular spot as first of 3 to arrive that night. Some camel riders and kids around before sunset. very quiet and secluded from the road. great view of pyramids over the dunes
