Just of the highway. Paved access. You can hear the highway traffic, but the forest is just gorgeous. Ferns, horsetails, and at the bottom the Chulitna river. Picnic benches and fire rings.

Overgrown former scenic “overlook” and trailhead. Per prior reviews, has not been used or maintained by AK in some time. Still, ok for overnight and free!

The pit toilets are wrecked and most of the tables are overgrown but there are still two good ones and also the fire ring.
The view from the fotopoint to the river is really nice but it’s overgrown.
We would recommend driving to the road a little further in the forest and not the big parking lot in the front.
The road is good but was really icy when we came there. You can hear the traffic.
We stayed there for one night.
