Great park. I called city hall to make sure open in winter and it was. Bathrooms open too. Great trail on the other side of N Platte River to walk too. No one bothered us and noise quoted down by late evening.

Report Check-In

As advertised in the other reviews… can’t believe how nice this place is for free!

Report Check-In

Nice stop for the night, plenty of space for a bunch of RVs. We got a spot with a nice view of the river. Picnic tables, grills. Showers, water, and dump. All free. Nearby place to dump trash, compost, recycling. Douglas has it all!

Report Check-In

Nice free park. Almost full on a Sunday night but still room for a few more small rigs. Taller rigs should be aware of some low hanging tree branches at some spots but other than that big rig friendly.

Report Check-In

Great spot for parking overnight. Felt very safe and when I got in at 6:30pm on a Tuesday it was about 3/4 full but luckily I was able to grab a spot as I am a small camper van. Trees line the camper parking area so it is pretty easy to find a nice shaded spot. The next day I biked all over town and enjoyed all the free museums. I was also able to dump my tanks and take a shower before I hit the road! Thank you Douglas!

Report Check-In

Due to high winds on I-25 we pulled off and overnighted. Nice clean park with more than we needed. Space is limited so arrive early…

Report Check-In

I truly cannot believe this is free! Such a cute little park area, lots of other van and RV campers, but so much space to roam around it never felt crowded. Two stall bathroom with 1 shower that's also FREE and unlimited. Also a dump station and water pump that I didn't use.

Report Check-In

Absolutely a “Must Stay” if you are on your way to Tetons or Yellowstone from the East. FREE 2 nights on the river. Plan on arriving between 2:00 and 4:00 if you are a “big rig”, it fills up fast especially on the weekends. We arrived on a Sunday and there already were 4 “big rigs” here, but the weekend people left and more opened up. Relatively quiet with a “city Main Street” on one side.

Report Check-In

As noted, nice city park near the river. Shower was clean and plenty of picnic tables, grass, and places to park. Also a dumping station. Thanks Douglas!

Report Check-In

As described by others. Big rig friendly with plenty of room. There is a dump station and 2 dumpsters. We did not check out the bathrooms.

Report Check-In

The town of Douglas WY, thank you. Riverside Parkis a great place to stop for the night, free showers, and super clean, free water fill and Rv dump. Keep it clean, folks, and spend a few dollars in town to say

Report Check-In

great spot for free! view of the river. grass area with picnic tables. dump station and water as well.

Report Check-In

Loved this spot! A number of RVs, Vans and cars were there but everyone was quiet. Bathrooms are unlocked 24/7, hot showers. Dump station for RVs. Tables with grills. All free. Max 2 night stay.

Report Check-In

This is a GREAT park! Very clean and pretty by the river. We are a 70’ rig and trailer and we fit fine.

If you can’t get a space here there is a huge fairground not far from here that you can camp at. Many many sites and you can just pull in and pay when they open. Wyoming state fairgrounds.

Report Check-In

Stopped in for a free shower & decided to stay overnight. Only 1 shower stall in the women's room so you may have to wait but it is really nice of the town to offer this for free! Stall is really spacious & connected to a large changing room so everything stays dry. The parking area was busy but campers were quiet. It was noisy overnight with traffic as you're in the middle of town. Nice, quick overnight stop though!

Report Check-In

Didn't stay the night but I stopped by and used the free hot shower. Thank you city of Douglas.

Report Check-In

stayed at Ayers Natural Bridge Park for 3 nights, the max allowed, then headed on to Gillette to visit the Frontier Relic Auto Museum. On the way, stopped at Riverside Park in Douglas for a quick, free, hot shower.
Max stay is 2 nights, dogs allowed, has a dump station for RVs.

Riverside Park is on the North Platte River. At this location, the Platte runs very fast and has no bank. If you have a dog(s) or kids, keep an eye on them.

pictures are not of Riverside Park. they are of Ayers Natural Bridge and the Frontier Relic Auto Museum in Gillette, mentioned above.

Report Check-In

Didn’t stay overnight, just stopped for the afternoon. Got some work done & took a hot shower. Beautiful area, great that they provide this. Full signal, nice grass for the dogs to sit outside. Shade & spots to sit by the river.

Report Check-In

FREE SHOWERS. Only reason we stopped here. Nice little park with shade and picnic tables.

Report Check-In

Stopped by for the night on my way north in my class C. It was probably halfway full. Definitely not a great tent spot but perfect to pull in and sleep soundly for the night and fill up for free!

Took a shower. Water was super hot and bathroom was clean. This is a sweet stop.

Report Check-In

as advertised. 2 nights stay. bath house and shower. I got in at 9pm after a long day on trails. deployed my RTT, rooftop tent and crashed. I always use earplugs in urban areas.

Report Check-In

Fantastic place, clean and beautiful. We heard the train once during the night, but that's the norm at any small town. It has an RV dump station.

Report Check-In

Clean park from a city that clearly values tourist dollars. Right on the North Platte River whose bridge is currently lined with bras for Breast Cancer Awareness! Definitely show this town some gratefulness by fueling up and doing some grocery shopping at a minimum. The Park has free hot showers, clean bathrooms, RV dump, RV potable water, a big trash dumpster, picnic tables and BBQ grills. It even has a Pokestop 😆 and a meat hanging rack 😳. We heard a train around 10:30pm but if they run all night we didn’t hear it! AT&T service is great.

Report Check-In

I left a review on the other spot in the same place. It's not a comfortable place for RVs anymore. Cars just park all around you, no space, as many as they can fit, and shine their bright lights while having long conversations, noisy. It's like a truck stop for cars.

Free showers open 24hrs! Arrived in the dark, but seems really nice for FREE! 2 night stay limit. Leave No Trace! Thank you Douglas, Wyoming!

Report Check-In

Free overnight parking next to the North Platte River. This is a town park offering a free camp spot with free hot showers and rest rooms. There are picnic tables with grills. Bathrooms were cleaned between 7:30 and 8:30 AM. Near grocery store. I plan to shop for my next adventure here in town.

Report Check-In

Yeah I couldn't believe this.
Better than most RVparks.
Lots of shades, dump station, water, shower, restroom, and parking for atleast 10 big rigs in this park. Free stay upto 2 days.
5Bar ATT LTE.
It's quiet at night, but it gets loud occasionally during the day.

We were here middle of may 2021.
Highly recommend! If you stay please support douglas by filling up on gas or getting groceries in town.

Report Check-In

Nice little park in the city. Two night stay allowed but we only spent one. Well manicured grass, clean, dumpsters, free showers and toilets, free water and dump site. We don't normally stay in towns but this was one of the best urban sites we've stayed at in the last 4 months on the road.

Report Check-In

Great spot to rest and recharge - feee showers (HOT!) and bathrooms plus steps away from the river. There are some lights above but they weren’t too bright and didn’t bother me. Full cell service t mobile

Report Check-In

Great spot next to river east access to highway but no highways noise

Report Check-In

Very nice, well-maintained park. Restrooms/showers currently under renovation

Report Check-In

Traffic noise didn't seem too bad, train and traffic felt somewhat distant. Hot, free showers are in reasonable but not great condition (women's seemed worse). There were several other RVs there including someone who might live there close to full time. There seemed to be some locals hanging out there in their vehicles and we weren't sure what they were up to... But they also didn't bother us.

Report Check-In

As others have mentioned, a nice little city park with free hot showers and a 2 day limit. Ear plugs recommended for the nearby road noise. There's a free railroad museum with train cars you can walk through at the nearby visitor center, and the Wyoming Pioneer Museum is also free.

Report Check-In

Not sure why this was marked as closed. I called the town office and they said it's still open. It is as advertised, a simple gravel lot with picnic tables, a dumpster, water source, hot showers, and an RV dump station. Lots of truck traffic into the night, and then around 1am super loud train traffic, yay! Guess it's ok because it was free, but bring some good earplugs.

Report Check-In

Got here at 3 pm. Pretty little park, not many visitors. A little road noise from the highway nearby but I feel overnight will not be a problem.

Report Check-In

As described. Very nice. A donation is encouraged but we found no place to make one.

Report Check-In

Small park in the city with ample parking. Quiet. Hot showers. Restrooms. All free for two days.

Report Check-In

Awsome place, as described. Free hot showers, heated toilets. Free Wi-fi at the visitor center 2 blocks away.
