NO CAMPING.
Apparently no 21,000 RWF rooms available so we were offered a larger option at 38,000 for two adults B&B.
Room simple and clean although not the most comfy bed I’ve slept in, and the mosquito net had holes.
Breakfast good and nice hot showers.
There are other guesthouses that look nice in Butare, so with hindsight I think we agreed to this room too quickly. It’s expensive for what it is and we probably could have got cheaper elsewhere.

Report Check-InNice place really quiet. Parking safe. We paid the room 21000 RWF the normal price with breakfast included.
Report Check-Incamping is no longer allowed! They admitted that they did allow it in the past but seen as they have limited parking space they only allow parking if you take a room, which I ended up doing. Set me back 30.000 for a large and clean room. This included breakfast, though I only found out about that when I was leaving. Not very well maintained but hot water, decent toilet and king size bed with mosquito net. Restaurant served good soup but mediocre brochettes. Also noteworthy is that the parking guard washed my car during the night without prior asking or notice! Of course he wanted some money for it the next morning. But he did do a great job...
Wifi was unusable because it was extremely slow.
Camping at the back, key from room with hot shower, price 10.000 rfr
Report Check-InIn parking/garden of hotel. Well maintained, many plants and flowers. We got a room key for showers and toilet. A bit of noise from the road.
