Something not right?

Description

Space for pop tops under trees. Access to this area may be impassable for large rigs. Larger trucks may be able to park nearer the front gate. Decent ablutions—More than adequate for a stopover between Maralal and Loiyangalani. Security fence surrounding facilities, which includes a covered basketball court! 600ksh pppn

Latest Check-Ins

The place is very neglected with broken furniture scattered all over. Toilets weren’t very clean during our visit. Camping 500ksh pppn. Located next to a public road and a football pitch so expect some noise. Running water is available

Report Check-In

The campsite is ok, spacious for tent. Rooftop tent you can stand in the front or on the concrete sportarea. However the place is surrounded by manyattas with goats and dogs, causing a lot of noise. Ksh 500pppn. Toilets ok, at the moment no water.

Report Check-In

Perfectly adequate stopover site. We parked with our rooftent on the basketball court - flat concrete base with very high corrugated metal roof offered shade/shelter. Toilets clean, showers cold. 500pppn.

Report Check-In

Access road in mapping apps is inaccurate—look for a road almost perpendicular to C77–it’s at the end of the short access road across from the football pitch.
Looks kinda half abandoned from the gate (very small sign inside the gate!), but the ablutions are reasonably clean and maintained—water (cold showers), electric lights and toilet paper too. 2 camels were grazing outside the gate—pets? Funky? yes, but with a certain rural charm ;-) 600ksh pppn (a little weird since we later found out another couple staying in a Banda the same night paid 1000ksh for 2!)

Report Check-In

Not bad for a stop over. Camping in shade under trees. Shower not working, so manager provided us with a bucket of cold water. Many stray cats around and once again a lot of trash lying around. On the positive side there is a fence around the site providing security and its well positioned as a stop over from Maralal to Lake Turkana.

Report Check-In

Nice place under trees. Lots of birds. But people too. facilities not very clean but okay. 600 ksh per person, but negotiated down to 500 ksh. quiet at night.
