Beautiful beach near bay. Popular camping place
nice spot. quiet and lon streched beach over a few kilometers. frequent possibilities to camp. look for higher grounds in case of rain or storm as sea and wadi waters can be rough and dangerous in oman.

Camped on the southern side of the beach, a bit up on a cliff that made for a private campsite. Just one other tourist car with rooftop tent on the beach. Quite a few mosquitos.
We saw loads of turtles from the coast, literally tens of them. Flew my drone (yes, I kept my distance) and could see 6-8 at one spot hanging out together on several occasions. However, when snorkeling visibility was horrible, just 2-3 meters, if that. Waters were very murky due to loads and loads of green algae.

We saw a spectacular bio luminescence in the water after dark.
The beach is large, less than a kilometre long, unlike another spot signposted just beyond. This spot is the prettiest but can be crowded with agencies organising bivouacs here for their groups. The other side of the beach is pretty and quieter. Very easy access.
Report Check-InWe drove a bit further up the bay, track leads back to the highway again. Pretty blue waters, soft sand, saw a turtle. Hot and humid in summer.
Report Check-InGreat beach with sand and also stones. Emerald green water and a fantastic view to the mountains. We arrived on Sunday and it was quite just some other tourist campers. The Gravel road was easy for our 2WD.
Report Check-InNice and calm spot. It’s very popluar to camp algonside the beach at this area so maybe you won’t be alone. Lot of space to camp. Road is OK to drive with 2W in my opinion.
