Beach far away from Dubai. View spoiled by concrete poles of unfinished access road to second palm island.
No tent camping.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We went here because it was late. A lot of caravans (longterm) standing near the beach. The caretaker come with a squad and explained that camping is no longer allowed, only the caravans. This have changed 5 month ago. Because it was so late he let us stay for 1 night.
Report Check-InA beautiful location near the sea that allows camping with trailers and Motorhomes. There's a security booth at the entrance to ensure that campers have a camping permit for stays ranging from two days to a month. Permits can be easily obtained through the Dubai Municipality app (no permit is needed for just one day). Regular patrols ensure security and check that campers adhere to laws and regulations.
Report Check-InThe location is ideal for camping with trailers and mobile homes. It allows for one-day camping without a permit, but anything longer requires a simple permit process through the local municipality app. Additionally, it's conveniently close to the beach, making it easy to go to the sea. It's a very suitable place for such activities.
Report Check-InThis is the only place in Dubai where you are allowed to camp. After one night you must have a permit, which you can obtain online at dm.gov.ae First you have to create an account and next go to services and click on 'Request for Permit Caravan Camping on Public Beaches'. Where supporting documents are requested you have to upload a picture of your car and car registration. When entering your car registration, only enter the numbers. Registration category is a letter (any letter will do). The process is buggy and frustrating but the friendly guard at the entrance of the campsite helped us. Still no facilities but lots of places to camp.
Report Check-InNice so far, but a bit crowded by lots of glamping homes and a bit annoying is the sound of generators in the morning.
Nevertheless it's guarded and therefore safe.
Great alternative for camping out here as mention before. We try to apply in the municipality but did not work out so we roam up and the guard told us that there is no need for applying anymore. Lots of permanent caravans here.
Report Check-InWe arrived here around 6pm. At the entrance was a guy trying to scan our numberplate. Which was impossible because they can’t scan a German numberplate. Than he asked how long we wanna stay (one night only) and let us park. No problem. No registration before was needed.
Report Check-InPlace is operational and pretty crowded with local campers. Staff is very friendly. No facilities yet, apart from waste disposal. Not sure whether they are still planning on setting them up. Pretty noisy at night due to diesel generators run by some campers and the mosque next door (prayers at nighttime). Convenient for us because we had to drop our truck at Jabal Ali port the next morning, which is only a 5 min drive from the camp. Otherwise, we wouldn't really recommend staying there.
Report Check-InEnclosed camping spot mainly for caravans/motorhomes which have blocked main part of the car park. Paying entrance fee mandatory. Camping only allowed on the hard-sanded car park. You need to walk to the beach from there.
Report Check-InBusy place with lot's of motor homes. The place is operated by the municipal of Dubai and you need to register online before you can check in. Camping is free of charge.
Report Check-Init is operational by now. don't know about the facilities as I was sent away as there are no dogs allowed.
Report Check-InThis is the new camping location for overlanders and campers in Dubai.
It is currently being set up by the authorities and will have some basic amenities. Not sure exactly when it will be operational.
Today I've been discussing with the people of Sharjah City Council longer: the only legal place for campers in Sharjah and Dubai is here:
