Iran
Just before the ruins of Persepolis. Hotel with bungalows and campground in the hotel compound. The hotel offers only breakfast, but there is a restaurant a few hundred meters down the road.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As every Tourist Hotel in Iran, this one has comfortable rooms with AC/heater, fridge, western toilet, hot shower, complimentary water and fairly good breakfast. 1,220,000 Tomans (20USD). Cottages in an area full of trees. You can park your motorcycle right in front of your door. 1.5 km walking distance to Persepolis. Very nice accomodation.
Report Check-InDated bungalow/apartment style rooms with kitchenette. Bungalows are arranged in a circle in spacious grounds under large fir trees. Listed price is 17 million Rial, asking price was 11 million, he settled for 10 million ($20) per night when I said I'd stay two days. Breakfast included.
First, I had considered camping, but the grounds don't look very inviting for a tent, and the asking price was 5 million, so the room is a much better deal.
The place has seen better days but they just built a new toilet/shower building for campers. Electricity during night hours because you plug into the lightpost next to the road. Relaxed between trees, fresh temperatures and away from people. They charged 2,5M/night.
Report Check-InCamping in het bos achter het hotel. Splinternieuw privé sanitair met westers toilet. 2,5milj. Rial voor 2 personen met camper
Report Check-InWanted to charge us 2m rial for one night camping so we left. Had a great night staying in pine trees near handicraft/football field.

Report Check-InSpend one night here and set up our tent on the grass between the trees. Paid 1mln riaals for a family of 4. Hosts super helpful and friendly. Its basjc but for us a better/saver option than sleeping in the Persepolis car park. Toilets and showers available at main reception building
Report Check-InSpent here 1 night for visiting Persepolis. Electricity at night, shower more warm than hot in womens bathroom. Costs 500.000 per night for car and 2 persons (started at 700.000).
Report Check-InNo specific camping area for overland vehicles. Just park in a driveway next to pavement. Electricity point on light poles - only on when lights are on. Toilet and shower in the restaurant. Shower only in ladies bathroom. Good overnight stop for Persepolis. Other option is to camp along the road - the locals do it.
Report Check-InJust before excavation. Site on road within hotel compound.
