Everything already said about Tak Taku. Had to wait here for a rain and wind storm for 3 days, to proceed with my journey. Couldn't be in a better place: comfortable, very clean, a blessed heater in the room I was at (it was really cold outside!). Secured parking for my motorcycle.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Such a nice and lovely place! Mohammad is the best host and can help you with anything. The kitchen is well equipped, you can use the washing machine (3€) and the bathrooms are spacious and very clean.
We stayed there with our campervan (15€ per night for 2 persons & 1 car) and hope our journey will bring us back one day!

Report Check-In

A great place, a warm welcome and a wealth of information about your next camps and competent guides. Unavoidable.

Very beautiful and calm place with a very nice host. Here you can park your vehicle safely for a longer period of time, get repairs done (we changed my clutch of my BMW R1200GS) or just simply relax. Mohammad also offers tours through town and the dessert. Here you can enjoy authentic persian food as well. Highly recommend this to any overlanders.

Mohammed is a great guy, very helpful in everything. All previous comments are spot on. Safe parking, and nice rooms around a beautiful courtyard. I opted for a large $15 room with shared bathroom, attached bathroom would have been $20.
There is no sign outside, but he found me when I was riding around the wall of his house. Better call ahead. The place has 3 entrances; a door, an electric gate 3m high, and in the new enlargement, attached to the original guesthouse, there is a 4mx4m gate into the large walled space Mohammad is in the process to develop into a proper campground, with grass for tents, and gravel for cars and trucks.

Report Check-In

we stayed for 2 days. Mohammad's guesthouse is perfect to relax, do some maintenance, he recommended us a lot of places in Iran. It is a little paradise between Yazd and Isfahan. Good luck!

Report Check-In

The guesthouse was not on our route sadly, but we did talk with Mohammad via online chat during our time in Iran. He helped us a lot and is a great guy. So we think you can’t go wrong with spending some time at his place.

Mohammad sets the benchmark very high with his Tak Taku Guesthouse in Toudeshk. Iranian tradition and hospitality meets Western standards. We stayed almost a week, caught up with school, worked on the car with Mohammads help and Mohammad also showed us how to drive on sand. We highly recommend his place to everyone travelling in Iran.

Beautiful overnight stop between Isfahan and Dasht-e Kavir desert. Cozy guesthouse, well managed by Mohammed. His mom is preparing excellent dinners (local food), and we booked Mohammed for a guided tour to Dasht-e Kavir. The guesthouse is located in the old scenic part of the village. Mohammed took us for a village walk, and there is much to see and to learn in the mud brick village. We had a really nice 3 nights stay.

The place to be for overlanders and travellers in Iran. Mohammed is literally inviting you to his home and he is the best host you can imagine. He can help you with anything you need and knows everyone in town. In total we spent two weeks here doing lots of maintenance on our car, desert tours, having great local food or just relaxing. This is one of the best places we have ever been.

Taktaku is a great place to relax and spent a few nights. Every night a traditional very delicious meal is cooked and the atmosphere is just great. Mohammed is an incredibly nice host, very well connected all over the country and helped us with so many things (car, visa, travel spots. etc. etc.). For us, it is "the place to be" while travelling Iran.

Report Check-In

Tak Taku is a very nice guesthouse in a lovingly renovated old mud house. Everything is traditional Persian, from the rooms to the delicious food.
You can park your car safely in front of the house or in the courtyard and either sleep in it or in one of the beautiful bedrooms.
The facilities are very clean and we also enjoyed the possibility to do our laundry.
Mohammad, the owner, helps with all questions and gives good tips for the further trip. There are also great activities, such as campfires and grilling corn under fabulous starry skies.
It felt like "going on vacation"

I stayed couple of nights at Tak-Taku after riding couple of weeks in Iran and I couldn't find a better place to rest and recover from the road. Mohammad is a great host who can show you places around or give you a great tips where to go yourself. He also helped me to maintain my motorbike. You can use safe parking for motorcycles and cars inside, sleep in one of comfortable rooms or outside in your car. There is also a kitchen where you can cook your own meals if needed, or you can join Mohammad's family for dinner, daily. When I'm back in Iran, I definitely visit again.

Tak Taku is a place that every overlander should visit when going to Iran. It's a great way to take some time off from the busy cities and life on the road. There, you'll get everything you need: may it be great homemade food prepared by Mohammad's parents, a place to perform some maintenance work on your vehicle or trips to the surrounding nature. There is safe parking, tools for maintenance jobs and Mohammad can introduce you to local mechanics, i. e. to change a tire. You can book one of the rooms or alternatively sleep in your car / tent and just use the (very fast) internet and showers. Everything is clean and you can easily tell how much work and passion has been put into building this place - the backyard is an oasis for relaxing!
Tak Taku offers the following services for overlanders:
- safe parking for your vehicles
- long-term parking, in case you want to change your way of transport
- super fast internet
- tools and space to perform maintenance work
- support in administrative todos (visa extension, etc.)
- guided tours, as well as guidance for own tours
I personally got here after a motorcycle crash and was looking for a good place to recover. I could not have chosen a better place than Tak Taku.

We spent 4 nights at Tak Taku and enjoyed relaxing days at this very nice and clean traditional house while sleeping in our camper. Kitchen, showers, toilet all very nice, clean and well equiped. We used Tak Taku as a base for several activities (visit salt lake, visit desert dunes, visit mountains). All very near! Mohammed is a great host offering a home to overlanders with different services (e.g. laundry, vehicle storage, repair etc.) and provides great recommendations of sightseeimg spots in the region and in the country.

It's the best place we stayed in, so far in Iran. Mohammad loves bikes, can help you organize stuff and spare parts and helps you with the bike as well. He's quite the mechanic. The Guesthouse is awesome, good place to stay a couple days, relax and recharge your batteries.

Stayed here for one night in my car.
Really nice place for chill out. Toilets and fresh water available as also a kitchen.
Mohammad is very friendly and is trying to build up a campground for overlanders. Right now it is still in the making but should be a nice add-on for this beautiful space.
You can also stay in the rooms of the guesthouse.

Yes, yes, yes. We can confirm all the comments to this place. An amazing oasis of tranquility, peace and hospitality. We spent 5 nights and could have easily spent 5 more. Mohammed is an exceptional host, who knows exactly what his guests are looking for. Make sure not to miss the family cooked food, it is indeed delicious. The overlanders backyard is not finished yet, but looks very promising. Anyways if you need to take a break from being on the road and all the "hello, where are you from?" from curious Iranians - this is the place to go.

This amazing place still exists and it's still as great as the last comments described it. We also ended up here because Mohammad stopped us on the road but we heard from this place before. He was not pushy at all. First we just went for a tea to see the place but ended up staying two nights in our van in his yard while we could use all the facilities. Mohammad is a great guy and a very good host. You can feel it's not about business, he loves to host foreigners, especially overlanders and introduce them to local culture. He is happy to explain the building and its desert architecture features. During the pandemic he was not lazy: he is building a closed courtyard for accommodating overlanders, a resting place for cyclists, bikers and campers of all sizes it will be. Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

We visit this place by a recommendation as we needed help to buy a SIN card. We finally stay for three night. Mohammad speaks perfect English and he is very friendly. He likes to have foreigners around.
He invited us to stay for free. He is happy to have Overlanders for free to use the shower and washing machine, internet and facilities (kitchen, dinning room and the beautiful patio)
He also offer us to keep our van for free if we live the country and comeback. It is definitely a nice contact to have in Iran.
He also said if you come you can contact him ahead to make sure he is in: +98 9139165752.

We stayed at this guest house because the owner Mohammed stopped us on the road in the evening and assured us we could stay in our cars in his driveway and use the bathroom and showers for free! At last and because of the rainy weather we ended up staying two nights, ate breakfast and dinner there, washed our laundry, joined a tour of the little village and used the guest house’s bikes to cycle to a nearby mountain and did a little hike. The guesthouse is clean and everyone is very friendly. We really didn’t have to pay for the accommodation and bathroom, the other services were at a fair price! If you plan on staying here also, drop Mohammad a short message on WhatsApp if you can: +98 913 916 5752

Very nice guesthouse and a very helpful owner! Mohammad let us stay in the yard with our Landrover and foldable caravan. We could make our laundry, use hot shower, electricity, small library and had fantastic dinner. Additionally Mohammad helped us a lot with our car. After recognizing that sth. is leaking he brought us to a friend (a mechanic) who has 40 years experience with Off-road cars...
Last but not least we could stay here with our dog, although Mohammed is afraid of dogs! 🙏🏻

Report Check-In

Really nice place to stay. We did sleep in our own roof top tent but could use the shower and toilets. The meal with the whole family is just perfect. Mohammed the owner let you feel like home. And good to know for overlanders, if you need some repairs for your motorbike or car Mohammed is your man. He knows his way to get the repairs your need and probably for less than in the city!

We stayed with Mohammed for two nights and apart from being a great host that is running a really nice guesthouse he was also of great help with fixing our car.

Some oil was leaking from our Landcruiser 60 and Mohammed found us a great diesel mechanic (his uncle) and was able to source a spare part (oil cooler gasket) in a couple of minutes.

Great place to stay with secure parking. Stay here if you like to decompress for a couple of nights!

Make sure not to miss the home cooked dinners.
