I could not find any campsite. I followed the road towards the sea and when the road ended there was nothing but deep sand to take you to the beach. No sign of a campsite and to go further you need a 4x4 because of the deep soft sand. I turned around and left.

Report Check-In

4x4 camping is in a small sandy car park next to some chalets, quite exposed to the sea. It is a bit expensive at 400MRU for camping, and dinner at 300MRU per person. Being out of tourist season the place was very quiet. Toilets were... okay. Might be worth a look elsewhere out of season.

Nice, very clean camp with great restaurant, you can park next to the beach on hard ground or in the sand for 4x4, a lot of space, hot shower and European toilet, 200 MRU for one person per night camping, 400 MRU for car and two persons, Pizza 250- 350 MRU, Fish, meat, chicken about 300 MRU, very clean and good quality and raste

Very nice campground with restaurants directly to the beachside, with camper 200 (Mauritania new money)
Easy to reach all kind of machine, big rig too.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

The place is ideal on the beach. Friendly owner. The camping as such is not much. But there is a basic hot shower and the restaurant is good. This place is better then staying in the stinking and noisy city.
They seem to have gotten competition a few hundred metres south.

Pas d'électricité, et douche froide...
Ne mérite pas les 2000 ouguiya par personne surtout en Mauritanie...

As others say. beach camping. western toilets but flush didn't work. single low pressure shower.

it was fine for me for a night. don't expect much though.

Report Check-In

Absolutely no effort on the "camping" front. Parking is basically outside the premises -in the parking lot. No camping facilities apart from a disgusting toilet. The food is ok in the restaurant. But if you are looking for a beach camp, might as well boondock as this is pretty much it, except you are charged (2000/ p) for it.

simple but very nice location and good food

We stayed here for a week while waiting for the Senegalese visa to be abolished! It was amazing and we loved it. Probably the only clean beach around Nouakchott (or even whole Mauritania). A lot of expats visiting during the weekends but very calm and quiet on weekdays. UM2000 pp
