Natwange Community Camp | Established Campground

Same bad adventure as "info". We paid in advance by wire transfer, then 3 days before we were advised that "something went wrong" and "the camp is not in a good shape" and that we couldn't camp. Then they were supposed to refund us, but guess what... Clearly a scam, don't fall into the trap, the camp is no longer operational.

Unfortunately, this campsite is not operational any more, so do not fall in the scam of transferring money as a downpayment as we did.

Friendly reception after an eventful day with a breakdown and 15USD is way too much, I ended up chatting to a lady on the phone and Kw150 was what I agreed to pay, so a small discount, they offer to heat water and lite a fire for you and you do support the community with staying here. Otherwise it is a nice quiet spot on sand next to a river to take a dip as there are no crocs or hippos. The camp next door is closed unfortunately.

The camp ist quite beautiful but extremely run-down. We recommend not to stay here. Not one single toilet or shower is working! Nothing is maintained and they wanted to charge us 20 USD pp/night. After a very long discussion, we ended up paying 50ZMW pp/night which is still too much for what you get.

Basic facilities: shower is a bucket of water, toilet has bucket for flushing. Expensive for what you are getting.
