A very nice place to camp and a very good welcome. Good food and beer

Report Check-In

pleasant welcome, quiet despite its central location, and good parking space with our vehicle of more than 7 meters, and 3.20 meters in height. we were able to sleep in our vehicle for 25 USD per night for 4 people. they gave us a room key for the toilets and showers. food a bit pricey but good.

Update on December 2020. Nice clean place. I think I am the only guest here. 300 Egyptian pound for a single room. They even allow my motorcycle to parked right in front of my room.

An update; March 2020. Still a great place with very friendly people and the best food we’ve had in Egypt so far. We paid LE 350 per night; we slept in our own truck but got a room for using the wc and shower. The Stella’s are still cold and cost LE 50/Euro 3,15. The diner is LE 110 for an amount of food that can easily feed 4 pax. Luxor might not be as busy as Cairo and Alex, but it’s still a noisy city with lots of traffic and combined with the heat, it can wear you down. But as soon as you enter the gate, it is cool, the noises fade away and the lovely, relaxed staff does not hunt you down. And it has enough room for our 8 mtr rig.

This place is a gem. The manager of 28 years , Barakas greeted us so well and was so helpful. All staff extremely friendly and made to feel at home. Owner Elie takes great pride. We took a double room with air con for 350 ep including breakfast and dinner was great and reasonable. Fantastic swimming pool. Filled water tanks and all in all a fantastic place to stay in Luxor.

A great camp/ hotel for overlanders in Luxor. Close to Karnak Temple, local markets, Luxor Temple & the Nile river. Staff & management super friendly and helpful wanted to make our stay enjoyable & comfortable offered us a room for 20 US for 2 as it was quite cool to be in our RTT.
Hot shower was great& comfortable accommodation. Bar & restaurant with excellent food very reasonable. Secure parking on site. Camping 12 US .

While it is a 2 star the positives more than make up for it.Excellent location.Staff is super accommodating and friendly.Stay there 3 nights , enjoyed the dinner each night.

We coudnt really camp with our rtt because there was some kind of party going on so the parking was super full. But we got a room for 300LE across our car, which was really convenient! The rooms are basic and ours was not clean, maybe we hit a bad one. The vibe is really nice, they do understand overlanders indeed and in Egypt thats rare! Laundry available for 6LE per piece, 5 if you don’t do ironing.

This is the only campsite in Luxor and I highly recommend it. It’s run by a very friendly and helpful owner with staff who are all very polite, professional and interested in us and our journey as overlanders. In short, they ‘get’ overlanders and are helpful, e.g we had some issues with our vehicle and the owner arranged for a local mechanic to come to the campsite after he’d finished work to fix the issue, and it was all done promptly and to a very good standard.

The campsite itself is secure and it’s in a fantastic location: right between Luxor’s Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple (the Valley of the Kings is a 40-min drive away).

My husband and I particularly enjoyed the food at Rezeiky Campsite: it’s delicious and the dinner is huge - we couldn’t finish it!

Other plus points: they serve beer and wine; there’s an ATM right opposite the rear entrance gate of the campsite.

By the way, regarding electricity, there’s isn’t a traditional camping hook-up, but they did have a standard extension cable that they lent us for the duration of our stay.

Stayed for 4 nights, we booked via booking.com 18$ for ac room inkl. Parking. Everything was simple and clean. We had dinner every evening, the food was very good (180-210 LE for two persons), authentic Egyptian tajin. Owner helped us filling our gas bottle, finding spare parts, dollars, passport fotos and laundry service, very nice people! Pool was refreshing, especially with cold Stella beer (45 LE) during Ramadan!

We slept in our rooftent at the parking area for 15 USD per night. We could use the showers and sanitary from a room. The nights were a little noisy, but it is safe and you can relax in the pool. We paid 10 USD for the dinner (one person).

He said his best price was 20$ for a room as on booking.com it was 14$. Didn't stay here!

Parked inside the Hotel Area and camped. Were allowed to use the showers of a room. Warm water comes eventually. Food is good and cold beer available. Laundry service available.

Report Check-In

Being honest, the place is pretty run down but for 12.50 euro a night we couldn't really complain. the shower was hot (eventually) and it has secure parking behind big gates. we intended to camp but ended up staying in a room because price difference is negligible and shower facilities where going to be in a room anyway. the owner was extremely helpful getting us dollars exchanged from euros and sorting out passport photos for us for sudan visa.

Nice and generally quiet place with some shady spots. Rooms are also available, to sleep or just to just the bathroom. I paid 160 Egyptian pounds per night for a camp spot and the use of a private bathroom. Internet cost me 20 pounds per day. Not all rooms are good so if you hit a bad one, just complain and you'll get another if available. Right next to Karnak temple and short distance from Luxor centre and the ferry to the west bank (opposite the luxor temple. Staff speaks English quite well. lounge area and surprisingly good restaurant available as well.
