Something not right?

Description

Very comfortable with lovely views across Lake Abaya for ETB260 ($15) per vehicle per night (with a hot shower)! Even the German, Norwegian and Swedish Ambassadors have stayed at the place, so it’s the best camping spot in town! Even has high speed Broadband WiFi and toilets that flush!

Latest Check-Ins

Camping is allowed again, only on the parking lot at the reception, which is flat and made of stones. They charge $15 pp. They have a swimmingpool and you make use of the showers there (warm water). Toilets can be found at the restaurant and are okay. They have an extensive food menu and wifi is available although connection is weak.

We have checked the rooms as well and they are not in the best condition and overpriced for what you get [$72 for 2]. We camped here and went to Haile resort the next day.

There is no more camping allowed at Paradise. Looks like they are getting many large busses of tourists and do not wish to allow camping. A room was quoted at USD 72. Looks nice if you want to pay the price.

Large resort with many (>100 huts), swimming pool and restaurant. We wanted to camp, but the grassy camping site does not allow for vehicles to enter. We ended up staying on the road to their conference centre, which was not ideal as many people were passing by to/from their huts. Great view from restaurant over the lakes, but WiFi-Internet was not working while we were there. We paid a hefty USD20 for one night.

The best option in Arba Minch. Beautiful views, great food, and good service. We came here wanting to camp, but unfortunately the lodge is no longer overlander-friendly when it comes to camping, you have to leave your vehicle (bike or car) in the parking lot at the gate and the sites are VERY far in, with no view and next to a main walkway with no electricity hookup. We ended up getting their cheapest chalet as a treat for 60USD a night. Although nice and clean there are definitely signs of 'Ethiopian Decay' present. Breakfast is included and is a brilliant, big buffet breakfast. It's one of the best lodges we have seen in Ethiopia, but it is still definitely overpriced, which seems to be a trend in Ethiopia. We came here specifically for the rumored good wifi connection, which did not work at all.
