Description

We were really happy here, lovely quiet spot away from the clutter and dust of Vang Vieng. Open grassy flat area to camp and then modern clean and functional toilets/showers. Also sinks for washing and lines for drying clothes. Ideal! 50,000 per night made it a bargain.

Slept for a night. Price was still 50.000kip, clean WC and shower. This place is like overlanders’ heaven in Laos.

Report Check-In

We were the first overlander's in almost 3 years. The staff started immediately to cut and sweep the lawn ant to clean the facilities. Big lawn with some shady places. Friendly and helpful, owners speak English well.

Very nice and calm place. Stayed here 2 nights and it is definitely worth the 50.000 KIP. Clean showers and toilets, lots of space, very convenient. You won't feel the touristic Vang Vieng here.

15Nov2019: Indeed a very nice place to stay, plenty of space, shade, good toilets and showers and the river nearby for a swim – definitely much better than anything down-town Vang Vieng. Friendly owner, good restaurant. We also paid 50’000 for the night … but you might be able to negociate if you take dinner at the restaurant …

This establishment has rooms and hits in the beautiful grounds but best of all has a proper campsite surrounded by lovely mountains and bordered by the river. The shower and toilet block is very clean. There is electricity and it is suitable for large and small rigs and campers. There is lots of space and the friendly owners have a restaurant which is handy if it is pouring with rain. We had 6 rigs there when we stopped by. We found it difficult to leave. This is outside the Vang Vieng ‘vibe’ but close enough to pop into town to buy food or beer!

Very close to Vang Vieng, this is a campsite with bungalows (bungalows are expensive) but camping is also available. Price 50k kip per car. New facilities, clean toilets and showers. There is a restaurant on site.
It’s right next to the river with a small ‘beach’ so it’s possible to swim.

We stayed three nights here when we thought we would stay only one. It is a very nice place where you can fully relax (especially if you have done the China crossing marathon!).

Big grassy area to park surrounded by the karstic mountains, (free!) washing machines with lines to dry, hot showers and toilets in a very clean building, sinks to wash your dishes... similar to a 4-star European campground.

There is a Thai restaurant on site which is good and overlooking the river. You can bath in the river with the local kids and even start a kayak trip there and the owner will pick you up in town (8km) after that.

We had an extremely pleasant stay there and wish we would have stayed more.
