Something not right?

Description

Arrived late afternoon and no one in office to pay. However next morning staff arrive at 9 and will charge you £5. You could leave before this time and pay nothing... Beautiful and quiet spot right on the beach... Toilet and showers close by. Make sure to stay high up the beach to avoid tide! There was at least 6 other rigs doing the same so it's accepted by the locals. There is a traditional camp site behind dunes for the crazy expensive price of £10 per person if you like that kind of thing (no thanks).

Latest Check-Ins

Stayed a night here. Arrived after dark and left early morning.
Hard packed sand isn't a problem for most cars.
Windy but overall a good spot.

Report Check-In

If you're worried, you don't need a 4x4 for this - plenty of large motor homes parked up on the hard sand at the top of the beach. However there are a lot of signs saying no overnighting and regular coast guard patrols. I don't know how strict it is as we needed to fill/dump so stayed in the little place right behind the sand dunes (£20 and facilities weren't open due to Covid). Lovely toilet block at beach entrance, although didn't see any showers.

Report Check-In

No bother, arrived when office closed. Camped for the night, there were a few other campers already set up. Beach patrol waved at us in the morning as they drove by and we paid £5 on our way out!
We left the beach as we found it so it was as if we’d never been. Great spot!

Beach camping spot,
Lovely spot for camping.
Big vehicles that are not 4x4 may struggle in the sand, park up past the high tide line as you may get wet otherwise!
