Army Corp of Engineers. Some places with concrete pads, others without. Some with water, shared spigot available, and trash dumpster. Free! 13 sites, 5 RV, 3 with full hookups (camp hosts only). Tent camping available too. Good Verizon service (20mbs down). No TMobile, Sprint or AT&T.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As promised great spot! Good service with Verizon but a little spotty with t-mobile
Report Check-InQuite area overall, though you do hear some highway noise. Sites 1 to 4 are for tents and are near the restroom. Sites 5-9 are for RVs with just one of the sites having water (I think it was site 8). Site 10 (for tent) is kind of in the woods, site 11-13 are closer to the boat dock (for tents only). There is a camp host though we never talked to him/them. The three electric/water sites are only for hosts.
Report Check-InFront gate says you can camp up to 14 days. There’s a sign near the damn that says no camping near the water. It’s a great site!
Report Check-InWonderful free camping spot! If you’re in the area, go here. One of the best free camping experiences I’ve had so far. Safe, clean, beautiful.
Report Check-InReturned to this place and still great. Wanted to update that the 3 full hook up sites are for the camp hosts only.
Report Check-InTent and rv camping. There's a common water spigot near the pull off for the rv sites. Decent Verizon signal too. Some road boosie from the traffic over the dam, but not bad. As free sites go, it's really nice.
Report Check-InGood place to stay and for free !!
Around 10 sites with picnic tables and fire pits.
Some of them with electricity (3).
The toilets are located in the end of the first road on the right. Pretty quiet (except for the road). Good view of the lake on one side.
All sites are under or next to big trees. There is no WiFi ... and quite a lot of traffic noise.
Report Check-InNice Free camping on Lake Whitney with a view of the dam. 13 sites. 7 for RV, 3 with full hookups. Tent camping, Water taps, bathrooms with running water on one side. Porto potties on the other side.
Report Check-Inas described above. have not figured out where toilets or wifi is but the sites look very nice. wish I had more time to explore here . might have to plan to come back.
Report Check-InArmy Corp of Engineers spot. Some with concrete pads, others without. Same with water and hookups. Free! Limited spots, maybe 10(?)
