Latest Check-Ins

A nice place with very nice staff. The shower was very pleasant. However, we didn't have a quiet night. Another person stayed at the parking lot, who apparently also lives there. Music all night. If you have the opportunity, try to park inside behind the fence. It may be quieter there.

Nice place to spend the night and walk the short loop (1.5km) on day time only a few birds, late afternoon/ early morning much more activity (birds, pigs, fox, rabbit). Friendly staff. Staid for free but donated some to the park. Road was in pretty good condition 25-30 minutes for the 20km off-road

Report Check-In

We stayed two nights here to search for mammals during the night while driving with our flashlights. We saw Southern Three Banded Armadillos, Plain's Viscachas, Pampas foxes and fresh footprints of Ocelot and Tapir.
The camping area is indeed nice with a kitchen with stove, bathroom with hot shower and dorms if you want to sleep inside. And all for free.
We drove the bad condition road in 30 minutes from La Patria. Just drive as right as possible with one wheel in the sandy side to avoid the biggest potholes in the middle of the road.

Enjoy! @RobJansenphotography

the place is very wild and desolate.
They have many amenities (cabins) and it is free. We leave a tip.

It is a national park, it is free, it has space to camp or also rooms with fan and air conditioning. also electricity, bathrooms and showers with hot water and in good condition. there is a barbecue. We choose to stay in our tent for 1 night. There is a trekking in the area, of mild intensity to know flora and fauna, they have posters about history. The negative that the road to get there is in poor condition. recommendation try to arrive in the morning or afternoon as it is very hot in the chaco. the rangers are friendly.

Free. Camping ou com alojamento. Nos quartos há ar condicionando, porém é melhor ter roupa de cama própria. No camping a noite é fresca apesar do calor imenso durante o dia. Muitos insetos, que não se intimidam com repelente. Os 20km de terra de La Patria até o parque levam quase uma hora.

Report Check-In

Yes its all free, and yes it is nice, but the 20km sandroad from R9 to the parque is horrible (took us over an hour) and the place is taken over by vermin. Well, they were actually the first here. Better stay behind the servicestation at the crossing R9 and sandroad.

Good place to stop over! We also did a short bushwalk with the ranger. One new sheltered bbq place. Indoor kitchen. Nicely built facilities. Clean to Paraguayan standards. We slept in room with airco. Was empty for the rest. EU money behind it. FREE!

We also spotted a refugio at km 740 on RN9 towards Villamontes. That part of RN9 is good tarmac, but between Mariscal Estigarribia and here the tarmac has not seen proper maintenance.... You have been warned, calculate some extra time.
