Description

There's a paved road on the east side of the main highway that leads into what appears to be an abandoned gravel pit. There's probably 20 RVs parked here tonight (here again a few weeks later with probably40 RVs). I'm told that this is the typical 14 day maximum stay limit. Verizon reception is excellent here.

Stayed for 2 weeks. Awesome. BLM host. Ripping Tmobile signal(find the right spot). 10 min to town. Lots of hiking(you can walk to), biking, kayaking. Good views. Quiet(get away from the main road).

Exactly as others have posted, picture included.

nice area close to town and the fireworks displays
we came to back lots of space and quiet. Super nice camphost for BLM came by to check us in in and give a tag for 14 days. Area looks good only one burned rig we saw.

Report Check-In

There is now a BLM volunteer who is the host. Everyone gets a tag showing when 14 days is up. BLM officers patrol and check tags. All long-term residents and rigs have been removed. Trash cleanup continues.

Report Check-In

lotsa broke down and burned down rigs here. maybe like 35-40 camping out. big area but even with all these rigs not much privacy

Report Check-In

Plenty of space. 2 Verizon bars quite off the road

Report Check-In

Eazy access off of 95 south of Havasu.
Many campers by the road but more space opens up the deeper you drive back in. The dirt was hard packed and many level spaces. Have a Az pass as the troopers will check.
People please pack out what you bring in…. Seeing all the trash, glass, tires and wood pallets makes me cringe.

Report Check-In

Huge area..extends far in from the road. 2 Tmobile 4G bars. Level areas. The farther you get in from the road the quieter. Many RV’s, campers trailers spread out. Recommend.

Report Check-In

Pretty good surface and space for lots of rigs. Verizon and T mobile had good reception on some spots. We were up on the left side on a high point and got great service. Fairly quiet. Some road noise. About 30 other rigs here. Very few bugs.

Great place to camp. Close to town and amenities. Walmart for groceries. Planet fitness for showers. Community dumpsters for trash. All in town close by.

We’re 55’ in total length with our Skoolie and trailer. We made it in just fine and found a wonderfully level spot. Insta: @Lacey_Bus_Adventures

Stayed one night with about 20 other rigs. Easy access from the highway and close to town. Suitable for all vehicles as it is essentially a gravel lot. Not much privacy, but good for a few nights. 14 day camping limit. No amenities, so pack out all your trash! 1-2 bars of service on ATT.

Report Check-In

roads pretty rough after about 1000ft. but rough roads keep this place quieter and a little less popular. quiet.

Report Check-In

Plenty of flat spots. The entrance is relatively smooth. Any size rig can stay here.

Although there were several rv's here, it was very quiet. Good star gazing and close to town.

Report Check-In

Typical BLM area. Easy access off 95. Large and open with lots of places to park. 2-3 bars cell service with Verizon.

Report Check-In

Had some trouble finding the road since it's not on Google Maps, and my 51 year old VW headlights might as well be on the back of the bus. But seems like a decent place.

Highlight is convenient access to Lake Havasu. But original description of abandoned gravel pit is accurate. Road quickly branches off to small dead ends, but I continued straight to the large open area to get away from the highway noise. At least two dozen RV’s present, but all was quiet. AT&T 2 bars LTE (night) up to 2 bars 4G (day). Turnoff is easy to find with the GPS coordinates. Turning around with my 19’ trailer was easy as the camping area is quite large.
