Description

Charming tourist area with many hiking trails and suspension bridges.
This is an excellent, very clean, and spacious campground that appears to be underutilized but well maintained. There are large bathrooms that are cleaned twice-daily and two covered common areas. Both common areas have picnic tables and power outlets. One common area has sinks that are perfect for doing dishes, etc. It was raining during our stay and it was approved to put up our tent under the roof of the large common area.
Camping: 40 Queztal pppn.
Trails: 100 Queztal pp.

Price is still 40 Q/ppn. OK toilets, didn't try shower as it was quite cold weather. Nice place, Recommended!

Hello,

Great showers, great toilets we were alone with the monkeys.

Don’t hesitate the price is 40 q pp

We paid 80 quezales. There Was electricity until an American van came and connected AC😉 Then for the last 24 hours there was none. But:
-close to Tikal and Flores. We visited both from here.
-plenty of space for big rigs
-nice walks on suspension Bridges on the jungle. 187 Q though. Kids dont pay.
-nice bathrooms and cold showers
-kitchen area to do the dishes.
-we even found a faucet in front of one of the big buildings to fill up the water tank.

The noise howler monkeys make is a crazy bonus😁

Report Check-In

Big area, wonderful bathrooms and cold water showers
Sheep everywhere so our dogs are leashed and very interested. Horses and dog in a cage.
Recommended, didn’t do trails as not even interested in paying the price. Leaving early for border

Report Check-In

We stayed one night in our tent. Only us there. Super spot. Felt really relaxed and safe. Staff very friendly.

Report Check-In

Huge space! Lots of farm animals and could hear howler monkeys through the night. Covered space for cooking and relaxing. Showers cold but work well. Ground a little unlevel but a nice spot overall

Report Check-In

Great place to camp! Super quiet, great clean toilets and showers. 40Q pp/pn. when we arrived the gate was locked but we asked the guy in the security hut. He let us in and we paid in the morning.

There is shelter to put up tents and table and chairs too to use, electricity. I got OK signal with Tigo.

Report Check-In

Nice place to get away for the crowd of the weekend in Flores.
40Q per person per night
Toilets and cold shower
Lots of friendly donkeys, ducks and sheep
No phone signal

Report Check-In

Very nice place to camp. Clean and quiet we were the only ones camping. Hard to see turn in

Report Check-In

As described, nice grassy campground in beautiful area. Bathrooms cleanish. Palapa to use when raining. Saw two howler monkeys in the trees.
40Q pp for camping but trail is much more expensive, 25 US dollar pp. After mentioning the 100Q pp they said it was for local student price. Got discount because we camped overnight but still Q270 pp. Didn’t do the trail

Report Check-In

We weren’t sure what to expect, but there was a wonderfully friendly man named Obed manning the front gate, and he told us to follow the road to the office at the end for camping. They were super welcoming and happy to see us, especially because it was so quiet on a Wednesday. We were the only people there other than staff. 120 Q for two adults/1 child. We parked near the restrooms. Not all toilets flushed and bathroom sinks didn’t have water. But the showers did have cold water, which was so welcomed given the intense heat. There’s also a covered area with a sink for dishes. We weren’t able to find a water spigot to fill our Lifesaver. Rescued a possum who was stuck in a trashcan and listened to the howler monkeys at night. There are a lot of activities and we could’ve done them before 4 p.m., but we were tired after Tikal. Definitely recommend.

The closed sign is still on the gate - closed until further notice , but they did accept us in to camp. Price is still 40 Q pp

Good stopp between Coban and Tikal. We were the only ones on the campground and the trails. Sadly the bathrooms look like they where cleaned a good time ago (all bins were full).
Camping still 40 Queztal pppn. The entry for the trails costs another 100 Queztal pp.

Report Check-In

A lovely place in the rainforest. 40 quetzales pppn. The trail called "Skywalk" is beautiful. Many suspension bridges through the jungle leading to a wonderful mirador from which you see the lago petén itzá.

Report Check-In

Peaceful and quiet night surrounded by trees. Tons of wildlife, saw spider and howler monkeys(only heard them around 5pm for 20 or so minutes)
Had the place to ourselves and decided to stay another day just to relax. Paid 40Q per person. Prices are posted on the bathroom building in the camping area.

Report Check-In

Arrived around 3 pm. As others have stated need to get here before they close at 4 if you want to camp. Paid 75 Q per person. Our 12 year old was free. Bathroom is modern and was very clean. Showers had good water pressure but no hot water. Donkeys, goats and horses roaming free. At one point during the evening had two donkey faces peering into tent and we had our tent under the palapa. We were the only ones there. We were on our way to Tikal from Coban and it was a good place to stop.

Report Check-In

Nice place as others have said, had it all to ourselves. Spotted tons of wildlife. Note: the entry gate is only open from 7a-4p.

Report Check-In

Like the last comment, we arrived on a tuesday, at 5pm and the gate entrance was closed... We had to pass our way.

Report Check-In

There is a gate at the entrance of the National Park which was closed when we arrived (around 7pm on a Tuesday), so we had no chance to get to this campground.

Report Check-In

Perfect camping for a night! We were alone and had the whole place to ourselves. There was an outside kitchen area and we could make a fire.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Very peaceful. As described by others. Flush toilets and cold showers.

Report Check-In

nice organized campsite. was a nice first night in Guatemala. water from spigot (we purified). giant bathrooms with 20+ showers (cold). great place for an off leash dog to run like crazy.

camping was $5 USD pp. zip lines were $20 USD pp not super amazing but fun especially for kids.

This is a beautiful, large park with cabanas, covers and great bathrooms. Much as described below. We have two dogs and had NO issues with either mean donkeys or ticks during our stay. No wifi, weak cell signal. Fee for hikes, zip lines, etc. Paid 40Q per person. Electric available with extension cord. Water cold. Refill water tanks at sink.

Great place with nature : donkeys, horses, birds
Bar and playground for kids
Bathroom is very clean
Water and electricity
40 qzt per person (adult and kids)
It's very peaceful and we recommande this place

Report Check-In

still 40Q per person, clean and very quiet...but the donkeys were not dog friendly at all and try to charge our dog few times! you can walk your dog around the property but unfortunatly not in the park...so was just a quick overnight stop for us. be aware of the ticks and tiny black scorpion in the bathroom!

Report Check-In

nice parking & super clean wc cold showers.
lots of ticks and donkeys can be aggressive towards dogs.
water tap behind wc with good water.

Report Check-In

like everyone else said before - this place is perfect to spend a few days. huge area, lots of shade, one of the cleanest bathrooms for a long while, beautiful property, a lot of wildlife to explore!!!
take care if you have a dog, not only the ticks liked to attack ours, also the donkeys and horses did, which are living free in the park

Report Check-In

Really nice place to stay and relax. For any size of rig. Clean bathrooms, water tap behind the building, firepits. 40QpP.

Report Check-In

We agree with the comments before. A great spot to camp. Also perfect with a dog as you can walk around the big property. Watch out for the ticks. After walking in the small forest by the camping area we all had hunderts of tiny ticks. We just had a bad timing for our first night (saturday). A group of teenagers camped here and had pritty loud music till the morning. No wifi but at few spots you get a phone signal.

Report Check-In

beautiful campground and outdoor area. it's very well maintained but we were the only campers when we came. the camping area is large and would be great for all types of rigs. there are not segmented spots but rather a large open area for camping and you just pick and make your camp. there are two shower and bathroom blocks and both were very very clean. Like American KOA clean. there are lots of horses on the property and other animals. it's awesome. there is no wifi and no cell phone coverage unfortunately. there is power available at the main palapa structure. so if you have a very long cord you could plug your rig in and charge or as a minimum you can charge your phones and devices. we paid 80q for two people and a electricity. great spot, definitely check it out!

Report Check-In

A great place to stay close to the island of Flores. Convenient to all shopping, restaurants in the area, but very quiet and secluded. VERY clean bathroom facilities. Covered pavillion to eat, or pitch a tent. Electricity near the pavillion. There are horses grazing in the park, howler monkees at night, and many other forms of wildlife to enjoy. Security guard at entrance. 40Q per person

Excellent spot, plenty of room, quiet and plenty of electric points dotted around. Cold showers but bathrooms in good shape and cleaned twice a day. But let them know if you leave and are returning late. We got back at 1830 to locked gates and had to climb over the gate to find the guard. (No problem once I found them tho')

One of the nicest Guatemalan campgrounds, with ample grass area, clean restrooms and outdoor kitchen. Camping is 40 Q /person. Very close to Flores.
