Best place to park to check out Montezuma! Close walk to center of town. Spot is off the main road through the center on a large flat grass/sand clearing right next to the ocean.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Now has a large 'no camping' sign at the entrance. We didn't try to stay.
Report Check-InQuiet, a few meters from the town, well lit. In the square where the artisans are there is a tap to load drinking water. If you talk to the craftsmen from the place you can accommodate them with them and arm your place very good wave. We were 5 days here
Report Check-InClose to the turtle hatching center and downtown Montezuma. Plenty of other travelers camping with you.
perfect spot right on the beach. We spend the night with other campers. you can find water for free in the first supermarket when you enter in montezuma (ask people).
Report Check-InGreat beach at Montezuma and close walk to amenities. The Bakery Cafe was a great place to eat. We traveled in a van and they allowed us to fill up our water for our shower.
Perfect spot for overlanders.
Report Check-InApparently a known place, lots of other people tenting. Spent one night, but those next to us had been there for a few days. Bonfires and a few beers make for some good stories.
Report Check-InWe spend new years here together with a lot of other campers. beautiful spot, made for bonfires. the police came by and tried to make the people with tents go away, but no-one really cared and it wasn't a problem at all to camp here for two nights.
Report Check-InThere are no services here and a man staying at the Cabaña nearby said the town is now frowning on campers because people are sh*tting on the beach! He said we could try but may be asked to move. Man in house on the side of property said he may be able to offer power by looooong extension but not strong enough to power more than lights and phones. Didn't stay but beach is very nice.
Report Check-InFree beach front camping a short walk from the town. Nice little town with good food options at somewhat gringo prices. Tent campers along beach also. Street lights on the dirt road where you turn into the beach lot so it isn't completely dark at night. Near the turtle rescue so you may see people walking the shore at night with headlamps.
Report Check-InBest place to park to check out Montezuma! Close walk to center of town. Spot is off the main road through the center on a large flat grass/sand clearing right next to the ocean. Paid guy who house is next door 1000 just to keep an eye on the truck. He said he has an extension cord if electricity is needed. Will probably charge more though. Tent campers also along the beach.
