5 star wild camping really doesn't get much better... We took the western side of the island down from the north as its a spectacular drive! However, pull over spots are hard to come by as its the "non tourist route". However we persevered and found this amazing spot. You need to look out for a dirt road just before (or after) the official car park, depending on what way you drive around the island. Take the dirt road over the grassy verge and pull up right next to the waters edge. Perfection!

Amazing place. Last night saw a spectacular northern lights. But it was very cold and damp and humid so bring dry wood to start a fire.
