This was a great stop! The guy was very informative on how he makes his Mezcal. It was amazing and sooo worth the stop. his prices are reasonable and the tourism is much appreciated in the dying community. He also enjoyed the tasting with us ! Great guy super friendly!

Happy we made the 15 minute detour here! It’s an indigenous community coop mezcal distillery, the man explained it all and what separates their mezcal from others. Good quality bottles for 580 pesos. Tastings offered.
Report Check-InThis is the very best rancilla (mezcal and tequila included) we have tasted. The añejo bottle is priced reasonably for such a high quality product.
Report Check-InSo glad we saw this here on iOverlander! Pancho did a great job is slooow Spanish for us as he described the artisanal production of his agave raicillero. We had a great time learning and sampling his product, then enjoyed a nice lunch. Don't miss stopping in here if you're in the area.
