Really nice spot providing its not too busy. If all the designated spots were taken it would be like a car park. Very good vault toilets. Easy self check information cash, cheque or credit card. Generally less windy than oceanside.

Report Check-In

Tight spaces, picnic tables, toilets and large dumpster. We went to this campground because it was too windy+ high tides on the ocean side.

Report Check-In

No facilities except vault toilets. Sites like sardines but it wasn’t full. Right in front of the Bay with picnic tables. We didn’t stay because of the annoying noise of generators.

Report Check-In

Tight gravel parking lot. Full during the mid week. If it wasn't late in the day we'd have found somewhere else.

Great place.. very peaceful.. shallow water, clean bathrooms. Sites are one after another like a parking lot and most are uneven. Steps from the water though which is nice and only 4.00 per night with the America the beautiful pass.

after deciding not to utilize the free camping on the north beach due to excessively windy conditions, we decided $8 was reasonable and we came here instead. about half of the spots were filled when we arrived around sunset. the rules state no generators at night but the RV next to us apparently didn't get the memo. aside from the sound of generators, the campground was quiet and serene. gentle waves washed up on the rocks less than 10 feet from our van, and we had our own picnic table right next to the water for a nice breakfast. some campers were fishing right from their rig! the pit toilets were clean and a large dumpster was available. the camp host stopped by in the morning to induce himself and his dog. he was very friendly and helpful. we would definitely stay here again.

small campground, on the inlet. dry camping, no hookups, toilets $8.
nice small picnicking area with tables and a small patch of grass. Theres water and cold showers at the visitor center as well as trash and dumping.

NIce campground, park perpendicular to the Laguna Madre. Nice Sunsets, very quiet. Camp Host was SUPER nice and helpful. Gravel sites, so not much tracking in of sand into the RV. Spent a couple nights here, would stay here again, no doubt about it.

Report Check-In

Spent a night at the Malaquite campground then everyone turned there generators on. Bird Island was much quieter. Although the spots are very close together there was fewer rigs here and more space between them.

This campground is on the Laguna Madre and there are lots of birds. It is very pretty.

Camping is $8 a night. Entry to the park is free with National Parks pass or $25 for 7 days and $10 for one day.

Phone/data signal was hit and miss but much better than anywhere else in the park.
