A very nice, beautiful and clean spot. Hard ground, a big platform and it has even a little toilet hut. For believers there's a pray hut as well.
can be windy from time to time, cause quite exposed. awesome view over the islas flotantes and the Titicaca lake. suitable for big rigs as well as for tents (if it's not depending on steaks and soft ground but otherwise you will find many big stones around to fix a tent) we stood for 3 nights, it's quiet, save and just a few locals are crosaing the spot sometimes. highly recommend and much nicer than the other spot, that is beside the road to this one here.

Report Check-InLots of glass, not great for dogs. Flat and quiet the first night, and no issues. Was going to spend a second night but late afternoon someone came by claiming to live nearby and wanting a propina to help pay for the local security (of which there is none). Discussed for a while and we said no. It's public land. Eventually he left, and we did too. If the locals want to extort tourists, we will go elsewhere. Too bad, as it was super quiet and other people we met were fine.
Report Check-InThe place is actually called Mirador CAPUJRA - VISCACHUNI. We found it a bit dirty (lots of broken bottles) but ok for a night. Eduardo lives in the big house nearby and claims he takes care of the place. He just asks for a tip. Views are great. Btw it’s easier to take the upper road and not the road next to the railway to reach this place.
Report Check-InWhen its dark a men showed up. He said it is not allowed to stay here over night. He asked for "dollares", when you give him some money you are allowed to stay here ...
Report Check-InSuper nice view. Was not really dirty. Met other Overlanders. Don’t miss the tour with yordy (see informal campsite: Overnight parking and private tours to Uros)
Report Check-InWe stayd here for 2 nights. Its a safe spot for a rooftoptent. We didnt liked the view that much, lots of trash and dirt. We met some more Overlanders and had a nice night.
Report Check-InHuge concrete pad overlooking the lake. Just as described. A bit bumpy on the dirt roads. No one around.
Report Check-InNice quiet spot for the night, only a few people came to the lookout in the afternoon. There are a lot of bottle tops on the ground. Amazing sunrise over the lake in the morning. Felt safe.
Report Check-InThe road to get there is really average (~3km rocks, holes...) but we did it with our 2WD van. There is a big paved area where multiple vehicles can park, but all around there are a lot of garbage. Anyway the views over the lake and Uros islands area great, and the place is quiet an safe.
