Lovely place to take a lunch or to sleep near the crater. Calm and nobody here.

Amazing place for a night. The view on the crater is spectacular and there are many options for tents. We set up our tent near the walls on top with a nice view. The small shop in the village still exists and has some basics (eggs, drinks, cookies, pasta) but no bread.
Report Check-Ingreat spot for tents, quiet, not super cold not super windy. if you need anything you can ask to Hugo, the owner of the main small shop in the town square. he is super firendly and nice. actually, the next morning when we were leaving he told us that during the last weeks there have been some robberies in the villages around the area. we felt safe. but it is useful to have this info. ask to the locals for updates.
Report Check-InQuiet but very cold night. In the morning, there were flamingos in the lake in the middle of the crater.
Report Check-InStunning location to pitch your tent close to the crater! Please be warned that it will get extremely cold at night at this time of the year (June -10°C). Totally free and very quiet. A friendly local came to say hi and make sure we would not freeze to death 🙂. Bring your own food and water. We felt completely safe and set up the tent next to a stone wall in order to get wind protection.
Report Check-InLovely place to take a lunch or to sleep near the crater. Calm and nobody here.
