If you're headed from San Pedro to Bolivia and eyeing this as as shortcut to Routa 9, don't do it lol. The road is totally passable with 2 wheel drive if you hate your suspension and want it to suffer, but it's about 70 spine rattling KM in first and second gear. Be smart, spare your shocks, and skip it. If you decide to do it anyway the genedarmia stationed near 52 are friendly and polite and just do a very cursory check of the vehicle.

We did about 10 kilometers of it before deciding to go back to Ruta 52. To us, it was not worth it. And it was very muddy and wet as well.
Report Check-Insouthside of 52 to San Antonio was fine and passable. we had one sandy part, maybe you can go around (we had 4x4). roadconditions depend on time of year and te ripio machine!
