Something not right?

Description

These are the correct coordinates for this campground. Campground is right on the main roadway of the spit. Spots are a mix of gravel, dirt & grass. Spaces are tight but each has a picnic table and fire ring. Some spots have a beach view. Tent camping is also available on the beach. Office has a small gift shop and “store”. Restrooms and showers both really clean. If staying the night, a shower is $2. If not staying, you can purchase a shower for $7. There is also a laundry on site $3 to wash and $2 to dry. We paid $30 to dry camp.

This was really the only alternative on the Spit if you didn’t want to risk getting a knock on the door to move. Labor Day weekend and a site not on the water with 30A electric (no water) was nearly $60 with tax. Like others said, sites are close together and only dry camping has beachfront views (which book up fast).

We don’t plan ahead so we take what we can get. When we arrived we got a $60 spot (not on the water). Not sure if there’s cheaper spots, but we took what they had. $2 shower. Very hot and clean. Walkable to restaurants and the beach area. There is a dump and water fill area. Electric at site.

We didn’t stay for the night but we used their showers and laundry. The showers are $7 per persom with no time limit. You need to pay in the office so they can buzz you in. You can also get a towel for $1. It was clean and the water for hot! Laundry is coin operated, they can exhange bills to coins in the office. Washer prices vary based on the type of cycle. We did delicates for our outdoors clothes and that was $2.75 for 35 minutes. The dryer is $2.5 for 30 minutes.

Closed. Seasonal camping apparently. Blocked off, 9/21/21

Awesome views at the end of the peninsula and walkable to all the boardwalk businesses. Hot showers for $2 guests/$7 non-guests, no time limit on showers, open 8am-9pm. Purchase showers at office and they will buzz you in. Non-electric spots beach front and the rest behind are electric. We paid $35 for beach front non electric. The spots are very close together, but you still have your own table and fire pit. Because you are close to your neighbors it’s can be a bit noisy if there are generators, kids, and dogs nearby. Otherwise, pretty nice campground.

Stayed for 2 nights. It is a nice spot right on the beach and within walking distance to the Spit businesses. Camping or RV without hook ups are right on the beach, everything with hook ups is second row. The RVs parking spots are very close to each other, there is no room, but you get a picnic bench and fire ring with every spot.

It’s worth the $37.50 just to camp on the beach here.
