Camped at the dirt parking lot, good wifi, nice but crowded swimming pool, cold shower, plugged to electricity using a 15 mt extension cord. Payed S/50 night. Expensive but there was not too many options in town. Most of the Hostels don't have private parking. Tried Zarcillo Paradise which is in the same area than the bus terminal and didn´t have toilets for campers so you should pay a room S/70.

A small paved bit on the side of Vidraru dam. During the day there are small vendors selling various stuff, quiet during night. Night guards went to check and told us we can stay here. :) During the season there is also bungee jump available, sadly it wasn't there when we were there.

Estrada Parque loop

Verified: 2 months ago
GPS: -19.414470, -57.047200
Alt.: Unknown
Very long dirt road with an insane amount of wildlife to spot (at least at this time of the year). We saw over 100 caymans swimming, sunbathing and even crossing the road. There were lots of colorful birds, including parrots. We've also seen otters, wild boars, capybara's, frogs and a lot more. So amazed!! It took us 3 days to drive the loop, because of the many stops. For camping spots, there's plenty along the road, but at the moment a lot of them are flooded. You can often park next to the stream, but it's hard to get level and you'll be right next to the crocs, which is a bit scary. We just pulled up next to the road, it's very quiet at night.
