Hostel with attached campground. Perfect place after you picked up your truck at the port of Bremerhaven. If you sleep in your vehicle you park on a paved road. For tents there is a big grassy field. There is a power socket (long cord needed) and a tab with potable water. Clean toilets and great hot showers. As a camper you can use all the facilities of the hostel. Camping in the car is EUR 15 per couple incl power, wifi, showers etc. There is a restaurant, breakfast buffet is EUR 7 per person. Walking distance to downtown (20min). Supermarket right across the street.
Very nice campground at a little lake. Lots of permanent campers as usual but the setting is better than at other places. Grassy sites with power and water. Luxury facilities, hot showers and clean. Tent sites are right in front of the showers/toilets. Washing machines, cooking possibility and sinks for dish washing. Restaurant open for dinner (we didn't try). Good wifi (pay extra per hour). We paid EUR 5 p/P plus EUR 3.50 for the car (Land Rover size), power would be additional EUR 2.50.
great central location parkplatz to visit the old city but only suitable for self - sufficient camper vans with own facilities. Some of the spots have electric. There are plenty of shops, good restaurants and bars in the town within 10 mins walk. €8 per night + €1 for internet.
A very nice and quiet, unpaved place in the Luneburg Heath (Lüneburger Heide) area. During daytime, used by locals and tourists to take a walk in the beatiful heath and wood area surrounding this lot. Overnight parking is allowed and the community asks to pay 3,50 (low season)/5,00 (high season) Euro at the Amelinghausen Tourist office. phone +494132/930550 Anyhow, the place looks and feels almost like wild camping - very nice!
Fresh Water and tank dumps available at the sewage facility (Kläranlage) Oldendorfer Straße in Amelinghausen day and night.
Recommended by a local. Parking along a city park about 1.5 Kilometers from the heart of the old town. Free relatively flat. No amenities except recycling at the end of the street. We came off season and emptied tanks and filled water at the campground, Campingplatz München-Thalkirchen, located south west of town for free.
