In an ancient Roman villa, with a farm, 10 km from the center of Rome, a family campsite. Large garden of grass, shade and sun areas. Very clean bathroom and shower. Zone tables. Refrigerator to store food and cold water always available. But the best of camping is its hospitable owners, Elisa and her parents are welcoming and make your stay at your campsite a great experience. They also have farm products that can be purchased. Highly recommended.
Nice campground with a view over Mittelmeer and some Mountains. We stayed two nights and payed 26€ per night (2 adults, 1 camper). Each place has it's own sink with drinkable water. Market, bar and Swimmingpool.
It's a nice established campground with beautiful showers, a restaurant, a small shop and just 15 minutes away from Venice itself! We payed 24€ for a VW van and 2 persons, included camper service, shower and electricity! A 24h wifi is available for 2€!
Nice place to stay if you want to visit Venice. Big grassy area with view over the city of Venice. The ferry leaves next door with reasonable prices (13€ round trip). All facilities are in good shape and clean. Might be busy during high season, April was totally fine. I paid 5€ per person plus 15€ for the van. Seems average in Italy.
Free parking lot oposite a therma. Close to the center of Sirmione. Perfect gateway to the old town. If you have a bike, it takes 10 Minutes to the end of the island. Much faster then by car in busy times. Very quiet place! No facilities.
Large parking lot on the left side after the Visconti bridge. Oposite the R.V. park. If you drive to the upper end of the parking lot there is a fenced space for R.V.'s in the green. Very quiet. No facilities. Within walking distance to the village of Borghetto. 5 € for 24h.
Parking lot in the heart of the climbing meka of Arco. Nice village with lots of outdoor stores and Gelaterias. Right after the bridge in the right side. 10 € for 24h. No facilities. 4 km from Lago di Garda.
Very nice 4* campground next to the beach of Lago di Garda. Large sites, all facilities incl. restaurant and grocery store. Good price off season with ACSI-Card for a 4* camping (19 € for 2). Very nice employees!
Beautiful spot on little "island" perfect for kitesurf. But very expensive for what you get. High season crowded, loud (lots and lots of kids), and not that great facilities. Basically you are paying for location.
Relaxing little spot sort of on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Very close to etna volcano and nicer than etna camping slot I looked at. Seems like mostly "cabins" but there were a handful of big rigs and tents around. Tent area not huge but grassy and shady (even a few citrus trees). Also little terrace with pizzaria & huge dessert menu and local wine with great view of the ocean. Path leads down to cove if you want a swim. Friendly staff
Perfect spot to catch Malta ferry and you can leave your vehicle if you want. A "work in progress" by nice old Italian owner. Large grassy field adjacent to beach with a few small trees and a couple of old boats. Solar shower hot hot hot. But don't expect things like doors/roof on the shower/toilet. Maybe they will have been installed by the time you get here. Very relaxing rustic spot.
Note ticket office is about 2km north along waterfront in bedouin style tent camp. Ferries to Montenegro and Croatia also in same place but less crowded, more frequeny, and cheaper via Albania, at least with moto today. Hope it's not that bad
Parking lot next to Refugio Auronzo just in front of the 'Tre Cima' mountains. From here starts the walk around the 'Tre Cimas' on 2'300 m.a.s. You pay a toll fee for the road (24 €/car or 36 €/camper for 24h). No more overnight fees. Great view, restaurant and toilet nearby.
Camping mainly for longterm rental, we did not feel very welcome. But it was ok for one night as there are not many options on the eastern side of Lake Como. Nice restaurant with lake view, around 500m north at the promenade.
Nice camping site with various shady options. Hikes up the mountains straight out the front gate. On site shop for bread, milk, beer etc. Wifi only around shop/reception. Under 10 euro a night for 1 adult, tent, car.
Moden build campsite with big pitches you can park motorhomes in. Water/power at each site. free Wifi across most of the camp. Washing machines available. No shade as currently trees are still a bit small. 29 euro per pitch/site. Includes 2 people, power and water. A short walk away is supermarket and bus stop to city centre.
Nice little camp ground with plenty of shade on the edge of Levanto. Close to the train station for trips to the Cinque-terre. Wifi only around reception/cafe/shop. You can park you car next to your tent here. Two other sites we checked we funny about this.
parking is not allowed during most hours. but after 9 pm and before 8 am it is okay (within white lines) if you find blue lines it's 7pm to 7 am you can park. next to railroad with train running through the night. some drive by traffic too.
You can not park directly at the plaza anymore for more rhan 2 hours. And we might just be lucky cause its Sunday night. but no signs saying can't park here. no big vehicles. we are in a small van. vehicles driving by at night. there are some clubs close by and the view point is amazing and you can hang out there. you can bye water beer and coffee and some snacks from the vendors there too. hopefully other people get to enjoy this free parking and illegal sleep spot. lights on the street so have curtains. also it's on a slight hill.
