As you can probably guess by the name, it's an Italian owned Restaurant with a few rooms.
The rooms are spacious and have a double bed with mozi net that covers the bed nicely. The ensuite has hot solar powered water. The view from the garden area gives a great chance to see the sun set over the national park.
The owner Luigi speaks Italian, French, English, Spanish and several local dialects of Malagasy.
His stone baked Pizza's and chocolate tarte is great. Also helped us with the guide into the Isalo national park.
I asked about camping and he said it wouldn't be a problem.
The road from the centre of town isn't great but most cars and medium sized vans should make it but I think it's not for big rigs
Rooms from 80,000 Ar
Pizzas from 20,000 Ar
Breakfast from 6,000 Ar
If you are after air con and a little out of town, this place is great. They where in the middle of renovating the restaurant but still managed to serve breakfast and dinners. We took the room with a fan, air con, en suite with hot water and a mozi net that covered the whole bed. The rooms are not very big. The internet by the reception is surprisingly fast. Shower took 5mins to get hot water though but when it did it was really hot. A lot of the staff spoke enough English if your French isn't great. At 91,500Ar with 1,500 tourist tax, it is expensive but after staying in other places in town with just a fan(and a nightly power cut). It meant we could get a good nights sleep without it being 24 degrees in the room.
