Quiet, beautiful place under tall palm trees, at the end of the hotel & restaurant area. Shower and toilets at the restaurant nearby (charge) or free, shower/toilet at bar next door (for a tip).
Cafés, restaurants, shops, market nearby, very touristy area. Termites around, beware of falling coconuts. Great beach.
beautiful lonely beach; restaurant at the Tree House Lodge (2km). If the road is repaired, then again big rig friendly. Tiggers travels here in Feb 2016 and the road is still out.,detour through resort and gave owner 50baht to use his private road around broken bridge.
Official Campsite in the Sirinat NP. Daily food stalls nearby. Great, endless sand beach, beautiful coral reef for snorkeling. Not far from the airport - expected aircraft noise. In about 1 km is the famous entry lane just above the beach. Price: If friendly negotiating with the park rangers then free
At the end of a gravel road, directly on the beach. Very quiet and secluded. Only a few Thais making BBQ during the weekends. A little forrest for some shade. Due the soft sand big rigs only with 4x4 if you don't want to make a sand party ;-)
Our favourite bush camp in whole South-East-Asia.If you are looking for tranquility, endless beach and you like nothing but you and the beach you're in the right place. Bring plenty of water and food, so you can stay at this beautiful place some time - you'll love it!
Its a camping inside a national park. we paid 130baht for entrance once, stayed 2 nights. beautiful lake, you can go for fishing.
If you don't drive through the national park but directly to the dam you don't need to pay an entrance fee
very cheap Guethouse with a big garden, where you can place a tent as well or park your car. they have shower and toilets outside. most "expensive" room is a doubleroom with hot shower inside for 200baht. very quite and nice place!
On Ko Kho Khao (120km North of Phuket) we found a long sandy beach with not many people. On the island is a mangrove forest and a nice place to stay as well. At Sunan's Place you can put up your tent or stay with the car in Stuart and Nan's garden. Please contact Stuart before you arrive to make sure that somebody is there: email@example.com
The Giant House has a really peacefull athmosphere. You can rent a bungalow for 200 baht, or you can camp with your car/tent next to the river. Ask for long stay discout (1week) and you pay only 150 for 2 persons. Shower and toilette are outside, doesnt matter bungalow or camping. Minus: not enough shadow...
You can also camp opposite from the river, but its quite loud at night (dont cry bar), the toilettes are not nice and its the same price.
At the entrance to the ob luang gorge you will find a camping area with toilets and shower. Furthermore you can swim in the river just by the camp with a sandy beach. Entry: 200baht/person + 100baht for car/camper. Stay more days and you can visit the gorge and some viewpoints of the nature trail.
