Large overlanding camp next to the lake, clean and tidy. Secondary site for overland trucks where roof top tents must also go. Not that many flat spots though. Bar and restaurant. Small craft and curio shop. Free wifi.
Basic camp site but great location looking over the Nile. The lodge looks very nice, we are camping though. Food in the restaurant was very good and they will make a camp fire for you and there is a guard/camp attendant.
Possibly the best view of the nile! Beautiful spot, with great food, bar, swimming pool and you can get Rolex delivered!! If you’re camping with your car, ask the manager for the back route into the camp. Follow signs for Black Lantern/Nile Porch and the camp is just next door in the same compound. (30,000 shllings per night).
Just opened campsite (we were the fifth guest). No view over QENP, but beautiful park-type terrain with high trees. Ten minutes walk to boundary of park (for view over plain, not for entry). Very friendly management. Ablutions were still under construction, but very clean.
Note: moved in December 2013. Many sites and guides still refer to the old location. Mainly guesthouse with many tour groups. Reasonably quiet in suburb of Kampala (can be noisy over weekends). Beautiful swimming pool. Good Wi-Fi.
Superb property with camping only. Basic ablutions with cold shower. Outside tap and sink. Access to firewood and braai. Small forest at end of property with good bird life. Electricity if you have long extention cable. Quiet, park environment at walking distance of Fort Portal. Friendly management.
Really nice lodge and good campsite. Good clean ablution facilities. Shared standpipe and fire pit. When we were there we had an issue with a flycamp and overflow staff quarters. Good service recovery by owner though. Also offer to put food/bricks in freezer. Cost:US$10
Lovely basic campsite. Nice lawn and tree shade. local showers. Flushing toilets. Water is carred from the crater lake. Restaurant on site. Curios. Walks. Monkeys. Cost:UGX 10000 for camping, 15000 for bandas
Nice campsite at a tea plantation. Space for ground tents and roof top tents, and they also have two tents. Also nice shelters with chairs, tables and benches. Standpipes and two fire pits. Nice bar and restaurant. Good views. Good clean ablutions with donkey burner. Ask about overland trucks coming in as they tend to take over Cost:UGX25,000
