icteria Check-Ins

October 10th, 2021 Gumboot lake

Super accessible with paved road to camp. No water but new/clean pit toilet. Unfortunately no campfires allowed during our visit.

July 1st, 2021 Guadalupe RV Park Ruta del Vino

We have camped along the baja peninsula and rarely found a story like Luke's (owner/manager). I can't wait to watch: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1412450/?ref_=m_ttfc_tt. Luke was so kind and gave us tips for wineries, food and opened the gate across the street so our family could hike to the top of the boulder strewn ridge. The facility is clean and the location is terrific. I would come back anytime.

June 29th, 2021 Supermarket

Calimax was a good supermarket. The unsavory characters in previous might have been approaching their van to offer a car wash possibly. good farmacia as well.

June 29th, 2021 Campo Esmeralda

The campground/fishing village was really busy with fisherman the end of June. The women at the Market said they were "Full" but we could camp anyway (100 pesos). Didn't use Showers (broken?) needed bucket or toilets (also not working?). We probably would stay somewhere else but everyone in the camp was really nice and we were giving some clamps by some fisherman. The road from Hwy 1 turns before the checkpoint cones end so you have to cross through them if coming from south.

June 29th, 2021 Fidel's El Pabellón RV-Park

still 200 pesos a night. Fidel still super friendly. wifi went in and out but good enough for this check-in :) showers hot, flush toilets worked.

June 16th, 2021 Puertecitos Pemex

Gated and closed when we visited Puertecitos camp.

June 16th, 2021 RESTAUTANTE EL PATRON. On the Mulde, near The Lighttower.

excellent food. loved our table on the beach. we camped at the restaurant instead palapas because of a few people partying but no big deal. loved it here. asked to use bathrooms which they said was fine except gates were closed at night.

June 15th, 2021 Puertecitos

600 pesos to camp. water a site. flush toilets good. shower was a bucket/barrel. walking distance to hot springs.

June 15th, 2021 Restaurante Yacqueline

We didn't camp but the food was terrific. Yacqueline kept bringing us homemade tortillas! so good.

February 24th, 2021 Cabanas El Triunfo

Awesome facilities for family (loads of games and pool). Parked our trailer in front of cabins on western end of complex didn't use "camping area" at top of hill (rough track up). 250 mx per person.

February 23rd, 2021 Los Frailes

Parked trailer at end of arroyo road but lighter rigs with 4WD could drive north to palapas on beach. North cove had good snorkeling but south had amazing show of breaching humpback whales and rays. Fisherman with scales will sell catch of the day.

February 20th, 2021 Los Arbolitos

Camping is in parking lot/Vado. Gate closed 6pm-10am. Closed Mondays. Some restrictions on snorkeling: guide, 8 max persons. PFD required farther than 20m from shore. Biodegradable sunblock required. Cold showers and flush toilets working.

January 22nd, 2021 La Poma

Great beach-front palapa/parking. restaurant good but not cheap. Bathrooms clean.
