Harbor Island Street Parking | Great spot. Stayed 2 nights no problem. Gets busy on the weekends but people are consistently going in and out so there are spots always opening up. |
Border Patrol Checkpoint | Closed at noon on a Saturday. All entry lanes blocked off. |
Cracker Barrel | Arrived about 930P. A few undesirables walking about whom approached us after parking. But once the store closed it was quiet. Other car campers and RVs parked there for the evening Good for one night. |

Street Parking | Free street parking outside of Starbucks. No signage on Washington street. Paid parking on magazine st. No problems all night. Local security makes multiple laps throughout the day/night and never bothered us. Highly recommended for stealth vans. Able to use Starbucks WiFi and bathrooms while they are open. |
Cracker Barrel | Don’t waste your time coming to this location. It’s one of very few Cracker Barrel’s that have “No overnight parking” signs posted everywhere. |
David T. Kennedy Park | Great spot for sure as others have stated. We were the only ones after about 10p besides an empty police car. No one bothered us and it was completely quiet. Bathrooms were a little gross but available in a white trailer. |
Bethany Beach Ocean view Parkway Parking spot | Great location as stated ! Bathrooms are located right in the main boardwalk shopping area seem to be open all night. To get to the bathrooms from the parking area, just walk onto the boardwalk and it’s pretty much a straight shot. Slept well all night. No one else was in the lot. And no one bothered us. |
Long Point Boat Launch - Croatan Forest | Great location ! It’s about a two mile drive on a rocky, dirt road but it’s not bad at all. Multiple spots throughout the area. About 4 other vehicles here and campers when we arrived. Small one person bathroom with pit toilet. Beautiful location. Will be back ! |
Seaboard Commons | We parked in front of lowes behind the other trucks. There was only one other person there with us. Lights went out around 1130 and it was very quiet all night long. |

Cape hatteras National seashore | Bathrooms, beach showers and water bottle filling station on site. Stayed here two nights with no issue. First night there were others staying, second night we were alone. Cleaning guy comes through and cleans the bathrooms around 9am. There are no light posts in the lot so it’s hard to find at night. Huge parking lot. |
