The last parking space, coming from Escondido, is meant for overlanders. It has a sign 'RV Parking' with electricity plugs and a water hose. We spent a night there in our 7m motorhome - free - and had huge dishes (Hamburger, Ribeye) and Hefeweizen beers in the restaurant, delicious. Wifi from restaurant reaches parking.

We did threee squat tours with Javier to find nests of turtles (22.30-01.00, 23.00-04.00, 20.00-22.00) on the 18km long beach for rescuing eggs. Saw four large turtles, laying eggs and were able to rescue an other nest. Unfortunately, two nests had been plundered just before we arrived, by locals. Two turtles had to turn back to sea (lack of suitable nesting places; rubbish, plastic). In the morning, we released baby turtles into the water. Its an amazing experience and hard work :o) We stayed four nights with a 7m motorhome (400p/night). Seafood in the restaurant is from the local fishermen, delicious.

In the meantime, price has gone up (500 Pesos per night for a motorhome). Wifi does not reach the campground.

Nice place. Weak wifi. Very crowded (tents) and loud music into the night during weekends.

We payed 200p/person and stayed with our motorhome one night. Wifi does not reach the campground. Plugs for electricity at the common buildings only. Clean, well mantained and quiet place.

Wifi does not reach the rv park and the phone signal there is mostly weak. Unfortunatly, the admission office with an average wifi connection is 150m away.

French Bakery and Patisserie with different types of delicious breads and European sweets.

In calle Relox, you'll find a French bistro and a bakery who sell European bread and pastries.

These are the coordinates of the restaurant Hacienda El Retiro. It's open Thursday to Sunday, 13.00-20.00, kitchen 19.00h. Wifi in the restaurant. Go there to have somebody open the gate, which is 50m further to Valle de Juaréz. If the restaurant is closed, call Christian Chavez, 33 1072 8858 (English) or WhatsApp, 33 1012 0242 (Spanish).

Quiet and nice place to spent some relaxing days. We enjoyed the thermal pool a lot. Washing machine and tumble dryer for free.

We went there for a electronics repair, but the workshop was closed for the festive season (normal opening hours see foto).

It's there, as indicated by the icon. Go around the building. They sell water canisters or fill your own container with drinking water.

Once you have passed the fence gate, go up the dirt ramp after 50m at the right hand side - before the yellow house - to reach the RV park. Tranquil place, delicious food and Erdinger Weissbier.
Charly is a very welcoming, generous and helpful guy. He organized a tour to the 7 Leguas tequila destillery, a raclette in front of a fireplace and bakes the best bread we had so far in the Americas. Highly recommended.

Helpful police. They even have spots where you could connect your motorhome to electricity. Café next to the parking.

19l for 23p is the smallest quantity now, but you can choose between 7-8.5 ph value (base).

The gate was closed as we arrived. The lady next door did not know if or when this place will open again.

The owner wanted 650p a night for 2 people in a motorhome - we left.

We ate black sopes and truchas fritas, delicious, and could stay with our motorhome at the back of the restaurant parking lot for the night, free.

After we collected at least 20 big dog shits (they have 2 big dogs) to have a clean spot for our motorhome, we had some pleasant days staying there. Climbing up the water tower gives you a marvelous view of Vulcán Popocatépetl. Nice fire pit hidden in the greenery.

A car drove into the back of our motorhome and damaged some of the plastic parts. Locals guided us to Novoyuki, a learned carpenter and fiberglass specialist, living in a rustic and very friendly Mexican neighborhood. We spent 2 quiet nights near his house (see picture). We went there to replace the solar batteries in our motorhome. Dario, who speaks English well, and his team are very professional. Because we needed a special size of battery, they had non on stock but could organize them quickly. Fair price, recommended.

We paid for our double room 430P/night, breakfast and IVA included. Because this is the cheapest room (no.101), it's close to the guest car port and therefore can be noisy.

We had a delicious fish soup at one of the restaurants overlooking the river and a quiet night here.

Got 35 liters of GLP in my fix tank for 12.65p/l. Adapter is similar as everywhere else (Mexico, Central & South America), so be prepared ;o)

In the meantime, it's a Shell station. The fenced in area costs 55p/12 hours, no hourly rate! Truck noise.
If you want to stay for free, use the parking spaces close to the pumps.

That's the place if you want a boat ride into the canyon. After the boat ride (250p/person), we stayed in our motorhome on the big parking lot, 50pesos/night. There are several possibilities to connect to electricity, just ask the guard (day and night). Toilettes 5pesos, coins only.

Large leisure park with cabañas, restaurant, fishing pond, playground, tree houses, steam sauna, etc. Entry fee 30p/person, which you get refunded if you visit the restaurant. 250p/motorhome to stay overnight in the parking lot.

We came here on a Saturday in our motorhome and camped directly at the finca. We were treated with live music and a delicious set menu (camarones on a tequila sauce), Saturdays only. Nice place. Wifi at the finca only. We were charged 250p/night.
