November 2nd, 2018 Cachapoal Valley

3Km before Noi Puma Lodge Hotel. Once you take the final turn left to the Hotel just before the big wooden bridge (sign says 3Km to Hotel), a couple hundreds meters onwards, on the left, small entrance through the bushes, drive 50m forward and you will arrive at a spot where 2/3 cars can fit easily. Away from road, which has no traffic anyway. Really clean, (is far away from civilization, so I guess no many people come this far). No 3G connection on either Movistar nor Entel.
All around this area you can find different spots to stay, even with big RVs.

Very simple but nice camping. Old facilities (showers/toilets), cold water only. $6,000 (2 pax, 1 tent). Not allowed to use BBQ, stoves only! No WiFi, but 4G on local Entel and Movistar carriers.

May 13th, 2018 Río Barrancas Valley, Ruta 53

By the road. Very few traffic from Ruta 40. Small town (40 houses) about 5Km away. Rocky area, no grass, no sand. Easy with a 4x4, should also be fine with any car / truck. Water nearby, on any of the small rivers you cross from Ruta 40.

May 12th, 2018 Laguna Epulafquen

By the lake, near bushes and 3-4m trees. Hard to get to by bicycle due to water crossing. On a 4x4, no issue crossing the river. No traffic at all. Really nice view on the lake and surrounding mountains. Rocky beach, if you use a tent you will need a good matress!

May 11th, 2018 Laguna Vaca Lauquen

Very nice lake at the end of the road. Plenty of space for big RVs, trucks, tents, and so on. Amazing scenery. Pristine water is available at the lake outflow, just meters away.To get there you will need a 4x4 due to the Epulaufquen lake outflow crossing, about 3Km prior to get to Vaca Lauquen lake. No traffic, no pollution.

December 12th, 2017 Yelcho En La Patagonia

Stayed on Campground with my bike. Dirty bathrooms, all 4 soap dispensers for hand cleaning were emtpy, hundreds of dead insects everywhere, cold water. Paid $15.000, 2 people on 2 tents, with bicycles. Outside area is nice: nice big table, electricity, etc... Slow WiFi only on Lodge reception.

December 11th, 2017 Parque Pumalín – Campsite El Volcanó

Really nice and quiet camping, nice location. Nice showers (cold). No Electricity, no Wifi, plenty of drinking water next to each camping ground. Nice big covered table.

November 13th, 2012 JamesBond Bungalow

Simple but affordable hostel in Ko Panyee. You can get to the island by any of the tourist boats on a boat from Phang-Nga Bay Harbour), or by kayak, like I did. If you get there by kayak, they have a dock, so you don't have to worry about it.
I stayed there 4 nights. Nice room, simple, bed and bathroom, with cold water. Very quiet. Excellent views, amazing sunrises and sunsets, just few meters away from the water. Amazing views from the living-room as well...
They serve really tasty food, just like pretty much everywhere around here..
Beautiful area for a few days kayaking around the mangroves in Phang-Nga Bay...

('James Bond' name comes from the nearby (tourist attraction) Khao Phing Kan island, also known as James Bond Island, made famous by 1974's The Man With The Golden Gun.)

January 15th, 2005 Camping on campesino farm at small beach

I stayed here with my wife on 15th January 2005! Yes, 2005! On a tent by the lake... Just checked my old pictures! Amazing spot. I remember the host showed us the whole farm the next morning! Just thought I could add a copule of old pictures...
