If you have a van/landrover: go to the Hotel Ibis (only two blocks away). They have a big garage.

Really nice owner! Great camping near to Medellin. Easy access by bus / taxi to cable car to Medellin - or you take the direct bus! Hot shower & fast WIFI. Washing machine. 110 V electricity but you need a long extension cord. The owner is building new showers and electricity plugin direct at sites. Only negative point about this place: crazy roosters which crow the whole night!

Nice place to stay. Various options to park the RV. Electricity and water available. Very friendly people. Near to termas. In the centro can do several activities as horse-riding, fishing, hiking. Only downside: the shower was hot (electric shower head) but dirty... Price: Feb 2017 - 20'000$ per person.

Nice campground besides a hostel. 110v electricity, WIFI at the reception, good & hot showers. No problem also for big rigs. Pay attention to the roof corner of the main building while entering!

Basic campground with hotel.
You can do a lot of water based activites like kite surfing. A lot of space for tents. Rv's can stay in the parking lot overseeing the lake. To reach the parking lot you have to pass a steep meadow. At weekends it can be very crowdy. We were here on a sunday and there were a lot of young colombians.

Maria, the owner, is a very nice and helpful person. The place itself offers a good view and is quiet&safe. You can use the washing machine for 10000$.
Concerning the WIFI: when we were there (3 nights) it never worked fine. In addition it was not reaching the campground. Maria said this is only a temporal problem.
The offered shower is very hot (you can't change water temperature) but at the same time it has no pressure. The bathroom was not cleaned once during the time we were here. Also the trash was not put out in this time. To sum up: place is great. But there is a leak of maintenance.

This is a great place! Arie, the owner, lives on the same ground with his family. He is a very sympatic and helpful guy! Don't hesitate to ask if you need some help or advice!
There is space for several RV's. The place is equipped with a very long water hose, 110v electricity, showers with electric head. Furthermore you can use the washing machine (3$). If you plan to go to Galapagos you can park here your RV and Arie will bring you to the Airport (15$ per way).

3$ per person / day (off course only if you are there, not if you're on Galapagos)

The place itself is located in the city of Cuenca. In 20' you reach the old town by walk.
Concerning the previous post:
They offer several showers. If the cabana is not occupied you can use the shower there. Very hot and very clean! And if the cabana is occupied they offer their own showers in the house! Also these showers are very clean and hot! So I can't imagine why there should be a lack of showers although there are more than 4 RV's.
What we can recomend: The laundry service of Maria: during our whole trip we have never found a better laundry service!!!

Unfortunately I can't confirm the previous post. We were here for dinner. Really bad quality of all dishes. Bad taste... We ordered: 1x Spagetthi camarones, 1x Arroz de Pulpo, 2x Cena. Non of this dishes was tasty! Better go to:
'El Decanso Marinero' - better quality for the same price!

Best mechanic we have found in South America (Peru, Bolivia, Chile)! After having been to several well know mechanics on our trip, Mauro an his team were the first ones who were able to make our car running under South American conditions. They found several grave problems which well known mecanics as e.g. Fire Wheels Lima did not find during one week of work! While they were working they explained everything they did, so that we now know a lot more about our car and we were able to understand the problems our car had.
After over 30 years working as an international mechanic, Mauro has a lot of experience. And if he doesn't have a part or needs the help of another specialist he doesn't hesitat to do his best!
When we left the garage we had a competely new car!!!
Prices were very fair. And Mauro offered us to stay in his garage (electricity, baños, shower, wifi) while they were working on our car. Or you can stay on the campground directly besides his garage.

Arrived here in late afternoon. After asking if there is place we got the unfriendly answer 'no'. But campground was empty. After explainig that we would only stay one night they let us in. But we had to pay for a room! Next day the gardener explained that they normally don't let overlander stay in the season when the restaurant is open... so be careful and better give them first a phone call. Suitable for RV's up to 3.40 high... then there are the branches of the trees.

Unfortunately we made really bad experiences with Firewheels. They overlooked / did not fix the real problems of our car. In the end we had to go to another garage to get the car fixed. This garage then also noted that the guys from firewheels damaged some parts. Also the new clutch firewheels put in was not properly installed so that we got other problems only 2000 km later.
The prices firewheels charged us for easy work like oil change were a ripp-off! In addition they did not adhere to deadlines. So they told us at 2 subsequent days the car is ready but it wasn't. So we had to stay another night in a Hotel..

Next to the Hotel/Camping Oberlander. MTB offers a wide range of Quad-, Motorcycle- and Mountainbiketours. We did the 2h Quad tour thourgh the valle de la luna for 200 Bolivianos per person. Worth every penny! Great foto stops and a lot of fun.

As already mentioned by the previous writers Mauricio and his team can be considered as the best mechanics in town. I was sent to this place by other mechanics. Because we arrived after opening hours Mauricio went extra for opening the doors for us. His garage is also suitable for big rigs as it has an extra entrance at the backyard.

Very trashy. Unfriendly owners. Wanted 180 pesos per rv and 80 pesos per person. Didn't stay here.

Small campground with space also for bigger rigs. Positive: clean place with pool. Negative: were sent away at 9 am. Saying that we have to pay another day if we would stay longer. Also the showers did not work - No water. Also a lot of mosquitos.
In general: can't be recomended so far. But we told the owner what could be improved.

Not anymore a camping. Only a parking lot next to the road. But we could stay here behind of the restaurant which is open in January only. Please ask first for permission to stay in the cottage of Los Puquios where the administration of mountain logistics is located and therefore one person is living there during the summer.

Laundry & Kiosk. We paid 4000 for two small bags of clothes.

Nice place located in a big park. We had the choice to install our RV directly on the camping or at the lake. We chose the lake and only used the bathrooms in the morning. Showers 24/7. No electricity. Lots of locals spend their weekends in the park fishing or doing other outdoor activities.

Very clean bathrooms. Wifi available, but slow. 5000 pesos/pax.
