Shooting Range | Wild camping next to shooting range...a little different, the guns weren’t bad barely heard them. However our camp spot quickly became a parking lot for the dirt bikers...probably not bad during the week. We got jn on Friday night and wasn’t a soul in site, then Saturday morning the brigade arrived bright and early. If you come during the week shouldn’t be bad and there wasn’t any bugs like some nearby sites say closer to the lake. |

The Wild County 240 Rd | Update we spent the night no problems, the level down hill kind of sucked, but we woke up to two huge lamas walking right in front of our truck...made up for the unlevel, lol. |
||
The Wild County 240 Rd | A quick stop right off of county road 240 right behind sign snugged between two trees. There are few spots before climbing forest road to the left and to the right. There is a private drive to the right when you turn off the county rd. It was a challenge leveling our rv, but never really got it leveled. It is a good spot to overnight or tent camp. |

Montrose Wal-Mart | Overnighting is allowed along grass part by main street |
||
La Plata Campground | Nice place to camp, we have a 27ft Travel Trailer and was able to get down the path and in a spot right next to the river. There is nothing like hearing a flowing river to rock you to sleep. They have fire pits available, but no trash, please pack out what you pack in. Side note, please use designated camping areas on the road due to the amount of private land in the area. |

Brantley Lake State Park | Nice stay, just as previously described, nice nights, peaceful mornings. We didn’t explore the lake because we mainly made the trip for Carlsbad Caverns. |

Walmart | Great place quite for the most part, you can hear I-10. The management would like RVs and TTs to park on the Garden Center Side. |
