Description of last visitor says that this place doesn't exist anymore

Hotel Banus

Wasn't here. booking.com says that this hotel doesn't have any parking lot.

Beach

Place as described, nice but bit dirty beach in front, behind highway and more trash. We slept very bad because it was very noisy from the road (sea was very calm). No one bothered us exept the moscitos. Nice sunset and a lot of shellfish at the beach.

Camping On Cacoa Farm - Finca Cholula

Unfortunately no tour at the moment, but we could stay there for overnight and could use toilet and shower. Many moscitos and few dogs around. The lady gave us a hot cacao milk in the morning :-)

Finca Cholula

Unfortunately no tour at the moment. :-(

Freedom Shores

We prefered to stay under the trees and palms (not sea side), there it is quite and has a lot of shadow (beware of falling coconuts). We didn't use electricity, paid 300 Pesos for two people in a van. Wifi doesn't work constantly, only at reception.

Casados Ranch camping and UMA

Grassy ground, enough space for several Camper, RV, tents. In our opinion nice campground, but bit pricey for what you get, couldn't negotiate, paid 200 pesos, no electricity, no wifi, no telcel signal, little noise from the road, water didn't work until we found someone who came to fill the tank. Very basic toilet and shower, bad maintenanced. Strange situation at the entrance gate. Someone behind the door (which we couldn't see) asked us to pay for the Campground before entering the front gate. She accepted that we're going to pay later at the campsite.

Paraíso Selva Maya - Cabañas & Camping

Everything as described. We stayed here with our camper. The family was very friendly. In the morning they asked us if we need water for coffee or tea. And when we asked them for a coconut they brought us 1.5 l coconut water and a plate full of coconut meat.

Next caapechen boat tour's

Sian Ka'an, Boca Paila Beach Camping

This place is permanently closed.

Cenote Azul

Nice open cenotes with paths around. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to drive to the parking lot and had to stay at the entrance next to the main road (with Sprinter size van).

Isla Mujeres Port (To Punta Sam-Cancun)

You can find the prices online: http://ultramarcarga.com/ruta-punta-sam-isla-mujeres/
We paid 890 pesos (Level 2) for our Mercedes 310. It doesn't matter if you buy a one-way or return ticket. You don't save any money and have to go to the ticket booth anyway.

Aquamatic Lavanderias

Still as described. I just wanted to add some further information in the description.

Xkopek Camping

Beautiful green sorrounding, clean bathrooms, nice clean pool, no shadow at RV Park, unfortunately no wifi at site (only at reception, but really very slow)

Punta- 45min drive rio Lagartoa

We wanted to go to this place but turned around after only a few kilometers, we didn't want to get our van (Sprinter size) scratched, street ok, but branches from the side and from above.

Water tap

At Plaza Bella Valladolid in front of Cinemex we found a water tap with a 3/4" thread. The water reached a constant flow at about 2 l/min trough our Katadyn ceramic water filter.
We were here 3 times to fill our water tank.

Ojo de aqua

Big flat parking lot, a lot of sandflies and loud music until 5pm (was saturday)

Sendero Peten Mac Nature Trail

Next to parking lot (where you can stay for free), very short but nice jungle walk, we've seen 2 crocodiles, entry free

Video projection on Cathedral

Unfortunately no show at the moment (broken, malfunction)

Street parking next to ex convento

Good located place, but very loud music at night time (friday) until after midnight, unfortunately no light show at the moment (malfunction)

Panadería Ancestra

Bakery with different breads (e.g. wholeweat, sourdough) and pastry.
They also sell delicacies and handcrafted wooden cutting boards.

Opening hours:
9:00am - 9:00 pm
Tuesday closed

We visited many panaderías artesanal in mexico, and here we found the best bread.

Villas Del Mar

Friendly owner, but didn't look as nice as on the pictures from older iOverlander comments. Has no palapas anymore, Pool had no water, sanitarios where ugly, but luckily we could use a bathroom in one of the cabañas. We made the Flamingo Tour with the mototaxi of the owner (200 pesos pp) and saw a lot of flamingos, but also a loooot of trash evereywhere, very ugly :-( Don't forget your mosquito repellent!

Monkey Hostel

We've heard from a local that you can use the shower of Monkey Hostel for 25 Pesos. May be a good option if you are parking in the street or at one of the public parking lot (which is secure here).

Plaza Moch-Couoh

Stayed two days/nights at this place. Had quite nights and felt safe.
Didn't see/look for the toilets and watertaps.

Parque Samula

This place is permanently closed.

Water tap at gas station

At this gas station (la gas) we found a water tap with a 3/4" thread. The water reached a constant flow at about 1.3 l/m trough our Katadyn ceramic water filter.
Maybe the stuff don't know about the tap. It is at the south east corner.

Lujan

After reading all this positive comments we decided to come here to ask Javier whether he finds the reason for the noise on the front axle of our MB310. The staff looked at it first and called Javier. He showed up immediately (and I mean not Mexican "immediately", but Swiss "immediately" :-)) in the garage and looked at the car. He found out pretty fast, where the problem was and they fixed it. He didn't charge us anything, but we gave them a propina. They were very helpful, competent and friendly.
