Campamemto Tu Espacio

We didn’t stay here as there was nobody to welcome us but here are the prices written on the gate : 2 persons = 60pesos, 4 = 90, 6 = 130, 8 = 150. So price is not by car but depends of the size of the family!

La Hacienda Gomez

Very nice place! We enjoyed our stay so much! We camped right next to amazing crystal clear blue water with nice waterfalls (4-5 on the property).

When we arrived the worker didn’t know about the possibility to stay for the night but after a quick call everything was set. As he knew nothing about overnight parking at this place, he asked us to park just off the right side of the small road on the property near the main building.

Ask if you can drive past the main building, then the baños building and finally past the small bridge, we discovered it was so peaceful there and think it’s better to camp. It’s next to some waterfalls too.

Didn’t try the baños and regaderas.

There is no sign of Hacienda Gomez but you will know you are there when you cross a small bridge with a rope at the end and gorgeous waterfalls at your left. Continue to your left after the bridge to meet someone at the main building. As mentioned, road is narrow and rough but you don’t have long to drive and we had no trouble with our 21ft class C camper.

Nobody there for 3 days! Peaceful and no issue with security. Dogs, horses, turkey and peacocks on the property as well as many fishes in the water!

100 pesos for the camper, 30 pesos for each adult and 20 for each kid (1 yo and up).

Finca Santa Monica

Shower building under renovation right now so no showers. They charge us 300 pesos for 2 adults, one kid of more than 5 yo and the camper (70 pp and 100 for the camper). Very expensive for just parking on a very small not niveled parking lot!! But you can use electricity and wifi is very very good (no password needed)! Oh and you are right next to a big palapa that we add for ourselves.

Camping Y Cuartos

This place is just for tent camping. If you have a car size camper they can arrange you something moving their own car but you will be right next to road and no gates.

Casacada de la Tzaráracua

Parking lot of the cascada. We parked there for the night after the about an hour round-trip hike to the cascada. We ask at the gate if we could stay here for the night and were told "creo que si" (I think so). There is water, tables, BBQ, garbage, restaurants and a playground a few step after the entrance of the hike. At the entrance, that says camping with a photo of tent camping but we have no other information.

The Casacada is wonderful and the hike takes just about an hour so very easy with kids. It's mostly steps to go up and down (557 according to Lonely Planet). There is ziplines but I don't know if they are working anymore (closed when we visited). It's 15 pesos per person, 5 for kids. 150 if you want to go by horse.

Hotel Real De Pascuales

Great place, friendly staff, surf shop at the hotel with rental, second hand sales and lessons. We parked our camper in the parking lot for 50 pesos pp including kids 5 and up. Lots of surfesr hitting that big wave right in front, fun just watching.

Paseo ala Isla

This place is permanently closed.

Melaque Paradise

This place is so clean and very quiet. It cost 2000MX per week for 2 people and 2500MX with our 4 kids. I think it's 350 per night + 50 per kid. The pool is very nice with plenty of shadow around and tables and chairs to enjoy the afternoon. Showers are HOT! You can walk to Melaque Centro (about 20 Minutes) or go by bus for 7 pesos just at the corner near the campground. Bus go to Barra too. The beach is steep so not very nice with kids but perfect for skimboard. Ah! And don't be surprise of the guy here, he takes good care of the place but he is a little bit strange.

Paseo ala Isla

Signs on a brand new gate that blocks the acces to the beach says no camping. Parking possible just off the 200 and walk to the beach

Playa Dorada Campground

Worst stay in Mexico so far. Arrived late, next morning unfriendly manager spoke rudely to my wife by the pool about the kids and didn't want her to ask questions. We left early afternoon that day and they wanted to charge us another night because it was past check-out time of noon, which they never told us. Never heard of check out time in Mexico before this place!!

Hotel Costa Bahia

Quiet little place with pool and walking distance to beach. Some low hanging trees and cables on the driveway up to the campground.

Mi Casa

Good food in a charming restaurant. There's TV to watch soccer games. Their pozole and enchiladas verdes are fabulous. M175$ for 2 adults and 4 kids including beers. Plus it's near Plaza principal where you can find churros and there's suppose to have activities each Saturday night.

Ixtlan Zona Archeologica

Stayed overnight after visiting the ruins. Security wasn't super friendly until he find out we are not from USA. Train passes few meters from the parking lot, security all night.

Los Pinos RV Trailer Park

Great place, shower is clean, location very central and the manager very helpful. Take the bus Centro on the other side of the street in front of the Oxxo to go downtown. To go back it's quite the same bus with Centro writing and Xalisco. Ask the manager (owner nephew) to indicate you the mountain very near (I think it's cerro the San Juan on Mex 15) that you can hike. About 45 minutes to go up, it's a rewarding hike but the view worth it! During our stay we noticed they are building a very long bike trail along Mex15 with a lot of small bridges. Nice addition to Mexico, bikes trails are not a big thing here!!!

Rutherford Beach

Very Nice place! So quiet! Easy to drive on the sand with our motorhome. There are dry toilets. No dumpster. Sleeping with the sound of waves! <3

New Orleans Parking Lot

Price changed : 50$/24h for RVs. Or you pay car's rate if you just take 1 parking place : 10$/24h weekdays, 20$/24h w-e.

Dump station, drinking water to fill fresh water tank, wifi, overnight parking permitted just over the dump station near flowerpots, restroom.
