Opposite the tourist office in Tadoussec a small hut with toilet and clothes washing. No signs outside. Only 1 washing machine and 1dryer. Very cheap: 75c for a wash and 75c for a dry. Machines only take 3x25c. Not sure if this is open all year or only in summer.

We really liked this place, we stayed maybe 5 nights but at different times as it was our base to visit the region. We met really nice people here. You have wifi from the city, water from the market and police patrol day and night.

Nice place for the night. We stayed on a flat place right beside boat launch. Close to hwy and rails but there is not a lot of traffic at night.

camping on State game lands is illegal but I'm not sure how that applies to overnight parking. this is a really nice flat fully wooded parking lot slightly away from the road. there were no other people here while I was here and hardly even any cars on the main road. a very peaceful area. you can hike or bike down the gated trail. and I even had phone service even though the whole drive here from the freeway did not have phone service.

Pour l'ouvrir, trouver le gardien du parc. Dans la rue de lagunillas qui redescend vers charazani, un des premiers portails en tôle sur la gauche.

Épicerie avec produits de base : pâtes, riz, patates, courge... Mais aussi bougie, bois pour la cheminée sur demande.
Très sympa.

Grand stationnement dans un parc municipal à côté du chemin de fer. Tranquille, mis à part les trains de temps en temps.

Mika is wonderful. The camping area is flat and grassy, but we didn’t encounter any ants! Horray! The mosquitoes also weren’t too bad. One layer of repellent in the evening and we were fine. There are wooden chairs to sit in on the grass to relax and watch the many parakeets in the evening. There are 2 shared toilets and 2 shared showers in a screened-in area. They are all new and very clean. Hot and cold water showers. WiFi. She has 3 friendly dogs; Sombra is especially friendly and playful and played with our dog. $200pesos for a couple. Ring the bell if you don’t see anyone and the dogs and Mika will come out to welcome you.

Before driving all the way up the road there are some sites off the side of the road as it does it’s first turn. Head up the steep road (most cars with 2wd and normal clearance would do fine. The road is good). There are a couple parking spots for car campers. I did it in a 2wd sprinter van. There were other vans up there too. Continue up the road for more sites.

Nice campground with big sandy sites suitable for big rigs. Restrooms are ok. Weather is much better here than closer to the ocean. Road noise is acceptable. 4G MTC Signal. 140 NAD p.P.

New tarred road northeast of Masidi up to the new bridge in Murchison Falls NP.
BUT Attention! If you drive a 4x4 with foreign number-plate and enter the National Park, even in transit, you have to pay for the vehicle 150$ per each entry and 40$/24h pp. The lodges and campsites close to the NP are outside the park. So if you stay there and and go back in the National Park for a game drive you have to pay again. Complete rip-off!

Hence we recommend the road west of Masindi along Lake Albert to the lodges - that is for free. Roads under construction in Aug21, but in a good condition.

Such a great location on Lake Victoria; camping is on the yacht club grounds, but we very flat and green grass (15K TSH pppn). We had to get our car serviced; Jackie (MYC caretaker) helped put us in touch with some guys who came out to the yacht club who were substantially cheaper than Toyota (it wasn’t a big service). They found that our front bumpers’ bolt had sheared and helped mend it, too. We stayed three nights as we waited for the ferry to Bukoba. The Asian food at the restaurant (Mo&Pragz) is excellent and we kept getting meals there (15K -25K TSH), friends did get fish & chips which was a bit dry we didn’t have that experience with the Asian food (the best we’ve had on our trip). My partner also had local goat stew with some people we met there, and played squash with them on the courts. We were lucky enough to go out with them on the boat around some of Lake Victoria, too. It’s a vibrant, beautiful place and well worth a visit. Something to note is that it likely will not be quiet over weekends (none of the surrounding property will be quiet).

Very nice Campground and host very kind and helpful. I use a tent and the CG has potable water.

Couldn’t find. Went to Ultramar across the street. Free and has water to rinse.

quiet for the most part,off the main road at least 50 yards. no signs stating any negatives. large gravel lot on state land.

Close to the road, with wonderful view over the sea and amazing sunset. Very calm, no one around.

Beautiful Campsite, very friendly Staff! They organise Trips on the Plains. Be careful driving on the Plains (suddenly gets Muddy and you get stuck!) Stayed 3 Nights.

Very beautiful spot right off the highway, next to the river, with a bridge and a train tunnel.

People are tubbing down the River.
It can be a little noisy with the train and the highway but I was still able to sleep just fine. The train seemed to not coming as much during the night.
Stayed the night and all day the next. Even had a cop parked down the way from me and no one has said a word.

Small camping spot next to a shallow river. Very quiet and very clean. Caution: there are a few Active Grizzlies in the area. Talk to the locals to get some info on the status of the bears. I camped in my suv 2 nights in the area and didn't have any issues. Beautiful area to explore!

Nice place once you get in here, but the drive in was seriously unpleasant. Lots of campers in the summer.
